I completely agree! I work very hard to get better at decorating my cakes. I've also taught classes and I see it in my students. Some have a natural gift and it comes relatively easy to them, while others struggle with just the basics. The ones that struggle almost always have other crafting talents but admit that cake decorating has never been something they can do. Those students are always so excited when I teach them rosette cakes, as they're cakes that even my 6 yr old class can do and they're always beautiful 😍 Love your cakes! Keep up the wonderful videos as I learn so much, especially new ways to teach/explain things 😊 God bless from Texas 🙏❤

Yes, I completely agree that it’s both! I’m an artist of all sorts of mediums (from clay to watercolor to embroidery & everything in between) And while I tend to be better at picking stuff up easily & fast, But I work hard to try all sorts of tips & tricks & techniques with every medium to master them! Believe it or not, I actually end up learning a lot of techniques that carry over into other mediums or at least give me new ideas to use other mediums in different ways (if that makes sense)

Having gone to school for art, you could always tell the "gifted" students from the ones who worked hard to hone their skills. While those of us who worked hard to improve progressed as artists, the "gifted" students took zero constructive criticism and their art never changed or improved. Artistic skills ARE gifts, but learning how to use them and evolving are key✨

I don't know any artist, no matter how amazing and naturally talented, who hasn't had to continually hone their skill. Natural talent is like getting a headstart in a race, not being given the medal before you even leave the starting line.

@Nameless_mixes Жыл бұрын
Honestly, this applies to everything. Some people will be more naturally inclined to doing something. But everyone’s capable of picking it up, learning how to do it, and working hard to improve their skills at it. And the people who aren’t as naturally inclined can rise above the skill level of those that are if they work harder at it. It’s sort of like if you’re metaphorically running a marathon. The people who are more naturally inclined maybe started a mile ahead of you. But you both have so much distance to cover before you unlock your full potential (the finish line). And some people will either stop and stay where they are or completely drop out all together.

Like, that ombre technique I could probably do with some practice, but I'd only be able to maybe change the colors used. I don't know that I could come up with something new.
I totally agree. I have no artistic ability whatsoever, but even I learned and could do some basic decorating when I used to work for Baskin Robbins.
I’ve always been artsy and I enjoy baking so cake and cupcake decorating made a lot of sense. All of my hobbies just feed into each othereventually😂 I’ve been told I’d make a great decorator but I fully know I do not have the practice (yet) to be anything more than just fairly good. A lot of talent is often just having the desire and want to keep practicing I think☺️
Gorgeous cake! My favorite colors
100% agree with you.. Definitely both. ❤
That blend 😮💨😍
You have a god-given talent that you have honed into greatness
I so agree. Talent isn't enough on its own but hard work can't replace creativity.
I like the little edge left on the top of the cake when you smooth the edges
I think that cake looks gorgeous, I love the ombré type effect
I think this cake is gorgeous. ❤
Agree! It’s like anything. Anyone can “do it”… but no matter how much you practice some people will have more natural ability to run with and do it to a much higher standard and more easily!
100% completely agree you with you!
That gradient 💜💙 so pretty
Watching these videos I'm convinced I'm a cake decorator 😊 however my stick figures are fat AF so theres that 😂😂😂

STUNNING OMBRÉ
This ombré is gorgeous!
I think you're right. And I think you're SO talented.
💯 agree with you!! Talent + practice is always the key for the success ~ 😎😉❤️💕
Gorgeous gradient
I agree 100% anyone can learn to do anything if they try their hardest and don't give up. However their is certain things that come easier to some then others because we all use different parts of our brains
"PREACH"! 🎉 Agree 100%.😃👍👏👏👏✌️🤟💪💞
True greats in any field are a mix of both.
Arrrrrrrgh I need that cake in my life!!!!! That blend literally makes my heart soar!!! Stunning ❤❤❤
Practice makes perfect and that buttercream is perfect 😮 👌
This looks absolutely sooo, easy! But it takes ALOT of Practice!!! But it is , & can turn into something Sooo Beautiful.
Absolutely both the eye for great design, sense of color and hours and hours of LOVE ❤️ 🤗🎉 Thanks for the joy!❤🎉❤🎉
Your vids are just amazing!!🎉❤
YES WITHIN AN HOUR I SAW THIS! MY LIFE LONG GOAL HAS BEEN COMPLETE
Totally agree. While practice makes perfect, you have seem to have a very natural talent. Your cakes are exceptional!
It is definitely something that comes with lots and lots of practice

🤩 Wooow....My two favorite colors, beautifully blended together. I would love to see the outcome of the cake!!!! 🤩
I agree Tigga. That cake looks great btw
That cake is so pretty. I would love to have that cake. Great job! 😊
I agree, I’ve always been an artist. Even though I hated art in secondary coz it was too restrictive😂 but it takes practice too. But with every step it’s still Learning
Like any kind of artform it can be both or either. Each person is different but, as you said, continued use will create better results over time.
Tenancy, patience and drive. That's what all of these specialized jobs take to excell. Lots of time as well.
Agree! I've only just started at 54 years old and loving it! I've always had the natural flair but play about and practice - results are coming along nicely 🎉
I agree! It is both. "Practice makes perfect"
I have always been artistic and creative but i never found my thing until i started decorating cakes. I just love it so much
You’re spot on. I’ve gotten better, but I’ll never be as good or have your eye (and I’m fine with that). Btw, that ombré cake is stunning.
I think you're a freaking GENIUS 💯
I think that I want some of that beautiful cake! & yes, what you said; both.
Beautiful just beautiful. Love the color combination.🎉🎉🎉
My instructor complimented my ability to pick up cake decorating so fast. That has given me confidence to last m years.
I feel this is true for any skill or talent, from singing to math some people are great learning a skill and some are bad.
Bit from column A , bit from column B. It helps if you're creative 😊
Love those 2 colors together they are so pretty😊. Love your videos by the way
I think that having "an eye for things" is a natural talent, and combined with practice you truly become a cake artist (YOU are)!! I have no "eye for things," so my delicious cakes are purely by accident 🤣🤣
I don't know any artist, no matter how amazing and naturally talented, who hasn't had to continually hone their skill. Natural talent is like getting a headstart in a race, not being given the medal before you even leave the starting line.
Agreed!!! let me get started lol you are AMAZINGGGGG

Totally agree! Although I do think some people may reach their skill ceiling before others who have the natural talent!
I agree.A talent is something u are born with or smt, a a skill is something u practice alot to be a master at it
I agree with you, I think with practice anyone could do it, just trial & error. Some may be more artistic but if you enjoy it, go for it!!!! 😊💜
You’re 100% right, minus one thing, practice does not make perfect, practice makes improvement.
Practice makes perfect, but loving what your doing is what what practice not work. As "easy" as things may seem, it really takes someone that loves and cares about what they're doing to get to that level.
Love how it tried out❤❤❤❤❤
I enjoy watching You create.
It's definitely an art form. There's a reason craft stores have baking aisles. Some are more natural at it than others, but I think if you put in the work, anyone with the right patience can do it.
