Beartown is absolute brilliant but definitely a slow burn to have all the story lines pull together. The Guncle is fun as well.

The Poppy War is truly one of the most incredible books/series I’ve ever read. The way that RF Kuang just goes to some dark places and explores what amorality/morally grey really means - I’ve never seen another author even come close. So be warned - it’s a heavy read!

Ease into it “never lie” is incredible I ate that book up so quick and my mouth was literally 😮so many time!!!

i'm rereading this really good YA fantasy rn called "the guilded ones" by namina forna and it's soooo good! it has a black female lead who is forced to fight in a war because of her "cursed blood" and it has a massive twist! it also has a cute kinda enemies to lovers sideplot and when i tell you i'm obsessed with this book! the world building is everything! 10/10 would recommend !

A Man Called Otto is the movie based on A Man Called Ove. I definitely cried during the movie, maybe I should read the book 😊

You should read Lisa Jewell if you haven’t already. She writes thrillers. They are great books. I would recommend reading None of This is True on audiobook. I think it really elevates the book.

Totally agree with you on “things we never got over”. I DNFed that book, couldn’t get past the first few pages. This was a year ago and I even chastised myself for reading a book that was not recommended by you. Felt like the lead character got too many things happening in her way once she reached that small town- like free place to stay, guy falls in love with her, his grandma agrees to baby sit her niece and finally when she won $20 K as a rookie in the card game, that was it for me. Come on now, nobody is going to let a newbie girl walk away with that kind of money in gambling. I closed the book and put it in donation box 😂😂

lol yeah it was absolutely too far out there for me but I love that you tried something new and found out for yourself that it wasn’t your taste! I by no means know all the best books in the world and my taste might not be yours but I think that’s what makes reading so beautiful. There’s something for everyone

Beartown is good, but A Man called Ove made me ugly cry. I need to read the Poppy War (I own it but have not gotten to it). I have read Legendborn and it was great. Never Lie is great, I loved it. Big Little Lies is great too. If you love Never Lie then I would recommend The Ex by Freida McFadden.

Read “Out of My Mind- by Sharon Draper” if you want another book to feel what it’s like to follow someone who can’t talk/ walk/ but can read and understand everything but her surroundings don’t know that bc she can’t communicate- always been such a favorite of mine!!!

I just finished Legendborn and I gave it 4.25 stars. I really enjoyed it and will be reading the 2nd book soon. The main reason it lost some star points is that the pacing in the 2nd half was a little bit off. But if you like fantasy and books about secret societies then I highly recommend it.

I just read The Sign for Hope because I saw you buy it on your haul video. It was so so good I absolutely loved it and I highly recommend it. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts. I also just read Orbiting Jupiter by Gary D Schmidt and it was incredible! I think you will really enjoy it. Just know though it’s deep. Yes I cried. Oh did I cry. My heart will never be the same. 📚🙂⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Second reading order!

Lucy Score does write well, but there are too much bedroom descriptions takes up too many pages and unrealistic situations. The Riley Thorn series she has is decent and funny, and if I'm recalling correctly, a lot less cringe material. A Man Called Ove was good and thr movie was cute too. You should look at The Blessings Series by Beverly Johnson very good series and loved seeing the representation. Have a great day 📚😊
