Randolph Scott is THE FIGHTING WESTERNER with Ann Sheridan in Classic Western Mystery! Full Movie!

Ойын-сауық

Randolph Scott starred in a series of B+ westerns based on the stories of popular author Zane Grey in the early 1930s. THE FIGHTING WESTERNER (1935) was based on Grey’s novel “Golden Dreams” and expertly mixes two genres, mystery whodunnit and westerns. Of course, it’s a Western, but it’s also a fast-paced mystery with a masked and caped villain who uses a hydraulic press to well crush his opponents. For his leading lady, young Randy gets a future star, and “Oomph Girl,” in beautiful Ann Sheridan. It’s nice to see these two paired together in this early outing, originally released as ROCKY MOUNTAIN MYSTERY.
The Director of Photography, Archie Stout, also learned his craft well. He, too, soon graduated to A productions, including winning Oscars for two classics, FORT APACHE and THE QUIET MAN.

Mr Word you have knack for picking good movies. I think the actress who played Mrs Ballard was in the Laurel and Hardy movie March of the Wooden Soldiers. Kathleen Burke was the Panther woman in Island of lost Souls. Lots of interesting & varied actors in this movie. Good story with good acting, For a movie 89 years old it's as good or better than many movies.

Whenever I see the name Charles Barton (director) I immediately think of Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein.

He is my favorite western actor! I like him way better than John Wayne! He was a star that didn’t act like one! He was a humble star! Not a bully like Wayne! And he got the girl in the end!
