Was that 35 mV measured from that white connector perhaps the cathode voltage over 1 ohm resistor meaning 35 mA cathode current? Nice video. However, tube amps with PCBs are horrible to mod or repair, especially if the underside of the PCB cannot be reached wthout removing the whole PCB. I am allergic to them. Even seeing them causes itching and pimples to me.

Thanks for watching, thinking and commenting -- looking at the schematic, the cathodes want to see 50mV... so just went by grid voltage.

@@zjokka BTW, talking about Dumbles, almost 25 years ago I built a Fender Champ clone (however it is now with an EL84 connected as a triode output stage because for some reason it sounds better than pentode IMHO) into a chassis of a late 50's Swedish Luxor Senator tube radio, the OT of which is quite large and good, and is equipped with the original Rola alnico speaker (Made in USA) which is in perfect condition as well. I added a switchable Fender tone stack/Baxandall tone circuit and a master volume as well. A few weeks ago I finally just for fun added an extra ECC83 and a couple of pots and switches, and in practice refined it into a real Dumble amp. It has 5 gain/volume pots now, so I really can adjust the edge of distortion of the cascaded triodes exactly as I want. 😝 I was very surprised indeed because the sound of it is so good that for example the sound of my 1962 reissue Strat's neck pickup is so sweet that it is better than with any other amp I have tried. After trying the amp for the first time I played blues for hours with that amp even if I really hate blues!.🤣 It is possible for example to adjust the tone and gain to exactly I want and get a very discrete slight distortion using for example Strat neck pickup and it sounds great because of that tube cascade compression, and the sound is very touch sensitive. I love it.

@@jutukka Great comment -- Isn't that the only proper excuse to get new gear -- because it makes you play more?
