the more strained and aggressive vocals and slightly faster bpm on this version i like better than the actual release. heard this track for the first time yesterday and ended up making my own remix because i liked it so much. posted a few hours ago. check it out :) super dope band

I remember watching this. Awesome live preformance.
I fucking love this awesome performance
Johnny couldn't play the more complicated guitar riffs, so Daniel Rey or others played them. That is why this song was rarely played in public

Barbara Jenkins Yes, Barbara. apparently in the 80s, they got Walter Lure from the Heartbreakers to play those guitar solos.

It sounds like somebody behind the scenes plays lead guitar parts along Johnny's downstrokes. :)

Its probably Walter Lure from Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers. I believe he did the lead guitar on the album version.

love this song
"You got it, guys! Go!"
what a song 😭
buen rock, te anima el dia!!!!!
Youpidou - Someone most certainly is playing a lead part off stage. I saw this tour and remember thinking that at the time of the show too. Seems very un-Ramones like to have done that, but I still love 'em!

Wow, Ramones' songs like this one do sound better live with lead guitar
They were on fire in this period and playing great. I know Pleasant Dreams isn't highly regarded in the catalogue but I think there are some brilliant songs on it, maybe even the album Spector should have made? Bold statement, I know, but nowhere near as bold as Marky's hair, which continues to look fuller and thicker as he gets older. I wonder what his secret is?
@danielscissorhands

LOL re Marky's wig.. I mean hair. I have to disagree with you re Pleasant Dreams though, not a great album overall in my humble opinion.
A roadie did the leads on this one.

From what I've read it was either Walter Lure, Graham Gouldman, Ed Stasium, Matt Loyola or Daniel Rey.
