Wow....o.k. so this happened. This video has been sitting BLOCKED on my channel since April of 2021....and now suddenly KZread unblocks it and publishes it. I always wonder when I see a Rammstein reaction of yours coming up why you always react to live videos? Is it because reacting to the recording enhances the chance of being blocked more than reacting to live videos?

@@lilianm7151 Mrs. Heretic and I are going to see them live in September at the LA Memorial Coliseum.

Rammstein was the opening show for Kiss in 1997, after that tour Kiss asked Rammstein for some of the equipment they have used because they were amazed by their performance! Rammstein always said that Kiss is an inspiration for them, and that tour with them + the family values tour with Korn, Limp Bizkit and all the Nu Metal scene was the jump to the mainstream for Rammstein. And there they are, being one of the 4 or 5 metal bands that can fully pack a stadium all around the world :)

I'm sorry. Saw both bands live around 10 times. KISS can nowadays not hold a candle to Rammstein performances :-)

@Necramonium There is the Rammstein documentary movie, watch it. Thats where @Gonzalo Morales surely got his info from. It's a fun watch, for example that on the after stage party all the americans went for hookers and booze and they were sitting around just not knowing what to do as they were not into that.

The wings weight 110 lbs 49:89 kg..Till had to stop wearing the wings because he was starting to get back problems plus cuts scratches and bruising after that he would be on stage and the wings put on then he'd be lifted up and suspended in the air and wanna say he did that for about 2 years? But whenever he would be lowered down he would hurt is feet and knees even though they tried to be as careful as possible I think he last wore them in 2016-2017?

A very common line in the lyrics: "Gott weiss ich will kein Engel sein" - "God knows I don't want to be an angel." Very fitting...

I've just left a Rammstein concert about two hours ago and I am buzzing!! Totally amazing show. Unfortunately they only played the acoustic version of Engel but it really was an experience.

I saw them live in Prague on the 15th of May this year and in 2011 in Croatia (I was just 11 years old, I can still remember the looks on the faces of the security when they saw me🤣). They were AMAZING, on both occassions. The show in Prague was also the opening show of the tour, and they played 4 song from their new album “Zeit”. “Armee der Tristen” is the opening song on the tour, it would be really cool if you could react to it, or just listen to some songs from the new album for yourself. Anyways, thank you for all your great reactions and reviews. You make my day.

I've seen plenty of bands live but there's a very specific atmosphere at a Rammstein concert. I'm not sure how I'd describe the feeling but you could get addicted to it if it were a drug I'm sure. It's truly phenominal. I first saw them at Brixton and it's probably the concert I have the fondest memories of. I'll never see them at a venue that small again, that's for sure. There's actually 4 songs from those 3 nights on the Volkerball DVD and I'd seriously recommend a watch but you'd probably not be able to react to them because they're not all on KZread unfortunately.

They are ok now. I have the Ohne Dich and Rein Raus performance on my channel from Brixton. He did Rein Raus a while ago but it was a rubbish hand cam version

Why the talons you ask... The lyrics explain the talons. He sings about how angels need to hold on to the stars very tightly so that they dont fall out of the sky. The german word "krallen" (verb) as in "sie muessen sich an sterne krallen" literally means "to claw into", hence the talons. His entire posture, facial expression, and the exasperation you hear is a translation of the meaning of the lyrics. He is not just singing the lyrics he is performing them.

Ahh glad this got unblocked / reuploaded. It seems as tho very much of Rammsteins previous copyright blocks has been removed recently, which is very nice! :) Hopefully that will stay, and it will be easier to react to official stuff from now on

It was blocked for over a year, since April of 2021.

Till is a showman for sure, I found then a long time ago, my favorite concert is their "Live Aus Berlin", "Ashe Zu Ashe" is my fav from that, never the less it's a great concert. Engel is another favorite, it has a nice beat, and a nice groove, let's face it Rammstein is one of those bands that has a lot of awesome songs.

Mittlerweile wird das Lied in einer Pianoversion gespielt. Mit dem gesamten Publikum und allen 6! Bandmitgliedern. Ob generell oder nur bei ihrer jetzigen Tour weiß ich nicht - aber sie stehen dazu auf einer kleineren Bühne inmitten der Menge. In Berlin, wo ich beim Konzert war, war es ergreifend- das ruhige Lied, die singende Menge und das gesamte Olympiastadion in sanftes blaues Licht und Lichter der Handys getaucht. DAS werd ich nie vergessen!

Those talons are a recycled prop from the live performance of the song Rammstein back on the Reise Reise tour a few years earlier. As seen in the Völkerball performance. He had a pair of them then. Since they dropped the song for this tour ,may aswell make use of them and adapt a cool prop to be used with the angel wings which suit em.

the recordings from this concert are a real treasure for the fans. and as for the female voice in the background, I have seen a clip of their live performance, in which they also have a live singer on stage, or more precisely, suspended in a cage above it. very impressive!

David another great review from you on a great Rammstein song. i saw them live last Sunday and they played Engel stripped back with a grand piano . No gimmicks. It was also reported in the press that Rammstein could be heard 12 miles away.

They later revealed a "Mk2"-version of the wings-prop, slightly larger and with a footplate. Till doesn't walk around with that one, but he "flies" (getting lifted above the stage by cables)

full agreement! there is definitely a big difference between using a gimmick as an accent and relying on the gimmick as the main draw. for example another "gimmick" band who's actual talent is often overlooked (in my opinion anyway), would definitely be Green Jello (or jelly after the lawsuit). I honestly think they were way underrated. in fact I'm pretty sure that danny carry was the drummer!

Their was a rumor years ago Babymetal would open for Rammstein on tour. If it would happen, maybe they could perform together for a song. I've always jokes the female vocals could be Babymetal in Engel. :-) If the tour had 2 stages like some festivals both bands could bring their full show. Both bands separately I would want to see, both together is crazy of course.

They met at Download festival in the UK back in 2016. Theres pictures of them together online. There was lot of talk of them supporting Rammstein on some shows in Germany in 2018 but i don't think it happened

Oh, you´re here too? 🙂 I didn't know the rumours, but I remember the pictures of Babymetal with Rammstein and thought for a long time what a great collaboration that would be. Didn't Su-Metal once said in an interview not so long ago that she thinks Rammstein is incredibly good live or something like that. And didn't they adapt the effect with the fireworks from Rammstein's "Du hast" Live in Paris on ITNO "Legend S: Baptism XX"? I'm not sure, but I think the timing could be right. Lastly, I love the thought that our Queen and the "Angel of Love" would sing along to "Engel" in the background. This won't let me sleep at night. Kitsune Up !!! 🤘🦊🤘

@@ENTE-METAL Yes, Su-metal saw Rammstein perform in 2015 at a festival in Austria. Babymetal was at the side of the stage and Su-metal was very impressed: SU-METAL: "The staff came out and tossed the microphone to the vocalist at just the right time, who took it and went straight to the stage. That kind of teamwork was amazing, and more importantly, I realized that this stage was made possible through such thorough preparation. Normally, it would be dangerous to use fire and other things like that. But they took all of it into consideration, and calculated it all out. I was also impressed with how they used fire as a way to express the music. We use dance to express metal, but Rammstein’s way of expression is just amazing. The show itself is like riding a theme park attraction! Rammstein draws you into their world immediately, and there is a thrill in wondering what’s going to happen next, that makes you feel all kinds of emotions. When the intense music comes on, your heart begins pounding. "

Good interpretation. The refrain on the studio version is sung by children, not women. Therefore, they cannot take them to adult stage shows. Rammstein have made their own art out of pyro effects. Til Lindemann is a fireworker himself and designs many of the effects himself.

Check out loud wire KZread channel and they break down rammtein on why they are so popular and l will be looking forward to the reactions of rammtein new songs

Rammstein are never going to admit to global warming, watch any of their live shows and the pyro creativity just says “so what?”

Actually, the "female voice" that can be heard, it's actually from one of the members of the group. I don't remember who, but it was either the bass or the guitar.

Kiss puts on an amazing show. No question. Their music sucks, no question. They do have some fun songs to sing along to at a concert tho. Like Rock N Roll all night. And the reverse can be true. You can listen to a band who is absolutely brilliant, but they suck live. I wouldn't pay for a shitty show, I would rather see Kiss. BUT.. Rammstein is both. Great songs and talent. Plus an awe inspiring show. So I think Rammstein is above Kiss without question.
