About Ramabai Ambedkar:
Popularly known as Ramai or Mother Rama, Ramabai Bhimrao Ambedkar was the first wife of Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, who is known as the father of the Indian Constitution.
Ramabai Bhimrao Ambedkar was the first wife of B. R. Ambedkar, who said her support was instrumental in helping him pursue his higher education and his true potential. She has been the subject of a number of biographical movies and books. A number of landmarks across India have been named after her.
She is also known as Ramai (Mother Rama)
Ramabai was born in a poor family to Bhiku Dhotre (Valangkar) and Rukmini. She lived with her three sisters and a brother, Shankar, in the Mahapura locality within the village of Vanand near Dapoli Ratnagiri.
B. R. Ambedkar's book Thoughts on Pakistan, published in 1941, was dedicated to Ramabai. In the preface, Ambedkar credits her with his transformation from an ordinary Bhiva or Bhima to Dr Ambedkar.

रमाई या माता रमा के नाम से लोकप्रिय, रमाबाई भीमराव अंबेडकर डॉ. भीमराव रामजी अंबेडकर की पहली पत्नी थीं, जिन्हें भारतीय संविधान के पिता के रूप में जाना जाता है।
रमाबाई भीमराव अंबेडकर बी.आर. अंबेडकर की पहली पत्नी थीं, जिन्होंने कहा कि उनका समर्थन उनकी उच्च शिक्षा और उनकी वास्तविक क्षमता को आगे बढ़ाने में मदद करने में सहायक था। वह कई जीवनी संबंधी फिल्मों और किताबों का विषय रही हैं। भारत भर में कई स्थलों का नाम उनके नाम पर रखा गया है।

रमाबाई का जन्म एक गरीब परिवार में भीकू धोत्रे (वलंगकर) और रुक्मिणी के घर हुआ था। वह अपनी तीन बहनों और एक भाई, शंकर के साथ दापोली रत्नागिरी के पास वनंद गांव के महापुरा इलाके में रहती थी।
1941 में प्रकाशित बी. आर. अम्बेडकर की पुस्तक थॉट्स ऑन पाकिस्तान, रमाबाई को समर्पित थी। प्रस्तावना में, अम्बेडकर ने उन्हें एक साधारण भीवा या भीम से डॉ. अम्बेडकर में परिवर्तन का श्रेय दिया।
