I leave the front 4 bolts in the pan. Then pull apart from the back comes out way cleaner & drains nice & easy

I put the same pan on my 68rfe. It now holds 14 quarts. It was almost 10 with the stock pan. 2015 ram

Cody down at superstick just got my nv4500 back to me for my fummins project. It’ll be my second trans from them, the first being a g56. 10/10 highly recommend

You can add a drain plug kit to your stock trans pan for about $10. Available at most auto parts stores.

The bypass is a must 17 degrees cooler

After doing the upgrade, does the trans still have that hard downshift with the engine brake on? Great video!

I hope not to need anything else for my 68rfe other than tunes when I get rid of the h&s mini maxx. That's a sweet looking vb though. I will be excited to see how it holds up with more use in the future. Hopefully you can update us at the next fluid/filter change for it.

Been meaning to do atleast a VB/Deep Pan also, but with money how it is now.. it’s just hard to make myself, since there’s no current issue with trans. Maybe I’m the owner of one of the 1% of 68s that can handle outrageous numbers, all stock. (LOL: KNOCK ON WOOD!)

I just rebuilt my 68rfe myself. The Casing cracked from pan all the way around to the pan. I put the bd diesel kit with the extra od/ud clutches and dpc triple converter. Truck doesn't feel like the power is making it to the tires. I couldn't even tell I put that converter in it. The bd diesel valve body plate makes you drill a hole in the valve body I'm wondering if that is bleeding off my line pressure

I have a 2010 6.7 with 130,000 km on it. Young guy who had it before me tuned it and ran the shit out of it. I had it a week and got some bad shifts and some slipping. Is it worth upgrading my stock tranny or just getting a built one

Can I get links to this upgrade ?

I would consider doing a valve body on my 08 but I don't have a scan tool that can do the re-learn, and the amount that you need for a scan tool that can do that is just ridiculous

We offer quick relearn for 50 bucks if you are close by. If not very cautious driving for the first 100 miles

Second time seeing the video I want to do this upgrade super bad for have a2017 Cummins it’s a automatic transmission

Why is your pressure dropping to 50 psi? Mine never goes below 90 and Ethan said he only sets his units to 200 psi why are you so high?

Have 08 3500 code p0218, p0871, will this fix that, what price on doing it.

I just had a high dollar Suncoast 68 and converter put in my 14...notice it has a flare up or converter locking issue when lightly accelerating ? Any ideas ??

I’d log it and send it to your tuner to check TC slip

You have to do a shift lever and trans re learn with a scan tool

230 psi line pressure has no detrimental effects (like ballooning) on the stock torque converter?

Yes it just won’t give the added pressure. I believe Ethan or revmax offer a tuneless option as well

Did you just drain the oil from the pan before switching to dex/Merc? Converter still filled with atf4?

Would you recommend these upgrades for a 6.4 gas 2500 with the 68RFE? Unfortunately my trans went out a few weeks ago and I’m waiting on a new one from Chrysler with NO eta….sucks terribly.

Yep, ... believe it or not 170-205 is common, I thought the same thing when I first got my truck, it kinda worried me at first.

Yes absolutely it's fine. That's actually low, when you get to working it hard like a mountain pass 230-250 is normal. My car runs 230-250 oil temps to run more emission friendly. So don't sweat it!

So with this mod what hp can you run with out blowing the transmission?

Ford fluid? 🤔 might have to try that in my 48re. I got a full billet shaft and triple disk and it feels like there's some slip when I get on it. Sounds like slip that comes from atf+4 ?

I can live without a drain plug, but what really really pisses me off is a lack of dip stick! My BMW is all electronic and it's fuggin annoying never knowing how much trans fluid I have, gotta pull the transfer case to access the damn fill hole and finger it lmao.

How hard is it to put a drain plug in it, I swear the engineers had to sit down and smoke crack before designing these trucks, my 2007.5 6.7 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4, I've changed so much crap to make things easier to work on. From completing an entire delete, new Black Market Fuel Filter swap out for that junk Plastic Fuel Filter that ended up leaking. New GR Diesel Valve Cover to delete that stupid CCV Filter, a complete AC System, and a few other mods, the next thing is to install the REVMAX Valve Body, get rid of that stupid Plastic Nippele that broke off and helped ruin my Transmission at 188,600mi that I had to replace so I bought the PPE Filter and Steel Nippele, next is a new Transmission Cooler and lines.

Ram calls for atf+4. Is that fluid better for the 68rfe??

The dexron 3 is better for the clutches. Same with John deere fuild. I mix mine in my 47re
