Ralph Martin - What Will We Say before the Judgment Seat of Christ?

Ralph reflects on a series of talks he gave to the annual clergy convocation of an American diocese and notes the profound concern that St. Paul had that he didn’t hold back from telling his hearers “the whole counsel of God". Ralph then makes an application to all of us besieged as we are by a culture that wants to silence the Gospel.

If anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, THE righteous One. Christ alone is my propitiation.

Bro Ralph I am always inspired by your reflections but today's topic in the form of the question being asked takes the cake! It brings into great focus what really matters, what is the great reality, what will happen in the final analysis. Jesus save us lest we perish! Jesus we trust in You!!!

"Wherefore let no man glory in works, for by his works no man shall be justified, for he that is just hath a free gift, for he is justified by the Bath. It is faith then which delivers by the blood of Christ, for Blessed is the man to whom sin is remitted, and, pardon granted." St. Ambrose Letter 73

Even now in our present day we can believe the love of God breaks through to us as God’s love is not ceasing due to anything we are experiencing. Even now in Christ Jesus we can accept God’s grace to begin and continue to be His saints. And then our prayers will be made in His righteousness and our prayers will be powerful and effective.

Please, please consider praying an additional holy Rosary to your current daily one, for the loving intentions of our Blessed Mother - she will be ever so grateful: as well as fasting to your capacity. We need her maternal help now, more than ever. Pray for one another - especially the clergy: the Holy Father included. God bless you.

Love this no nonsense message. I'm personally worried that when I get to the final judgement, I'll be one of those who cry out "Lord" that gets sent away. Impossible to ignore that Jesus many times said many would take the broad path to hell and that few would take the narrow way to heaven. I'm just praying my heart truly is repentant and that I really have made Him Lord of my life, but I have no idea how anyone can have that assurance of their salvation.

Thanks. Is this a reupload? I heard some same words and bible verses on earlier video of yours Mr Martin. You are one of the few lone wolves crying out in the wilderness. One or two passages speak out to me. As a returned Catholic who went down wrong path in past and have experiences regular spiritual warfare, the irony is that I am seeing and feeling pressure from other Catholics just to see things their way and compromise. But I have God to answer too and felt I had to speak up to be faithful to Christ even if I risk being shunned. And God knows how much penance I need to do compared with someone who never stopped worshipping him in the Sacraments. The Dark One has deceived me before thinking I couldn't be forgiven by Christ but St Faustina revealed Jesus's Divine Mercy as do the gospels in the NT. You talk about "not fulfilling purpose which we were created". How do we know that purpose?

Hi Beth. Thanks for your questions and your faithfulness in following Jesus. This is a new video! You'll often hear many of the same verses on our channel though. As for the purpose for which we were created, a favorite verse is 1 Thes. 4:3 "For this is the will of God, your sanctification." We were created to know, love and serve God for all of eternity. God desires that we would be sanctified and spend eternity with him. A pretty awesome purpose!

"All that takes for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing"...….I might add "all that is needed for evil to triumph is for good men and women To Do and SAY NOTHING in the face of evil". ......And these days are days of pure evil.

“Where there is reconciliation there is also remission of sins. For if, as the Scripture says, our sins separate between us and God, there is no reconciliation while sin remains. In what, then, is remission of sins? This cup, He says, is the new testament in My Blood which shall be shed for you for the remission of sins. Therefore where there is reconciliation there is remission of sins. And what is that but justification? Whether, therefore, we call it reconciliation, or remission of sins, or justification, or, again, redemption, or liberation from the chains of the devil, by whom we were taken captive at his will, at all events by the death of the Only Begotten, we obtain that we have been justified freely by His blood, in whom, as St. Paul says again, we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace." St. Bernard of Clairvaux Letter CXC

"It is His own gifts that God crowns, not your merits,--if, at least, your merits are of your own self, not of Him. If, indeed, they are such, they are evil; and God does not crown them; but if they are good, they are God's gifts, because, as the Apostle James says, 'Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights.' In accordance with which John also, the Lord's forerunner, declares: 'A man can receive nothing except it be given him from heaven'--from heaven, of course, because from thence came also the Holy Ghost, when Jesus ascended up on high, led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men. If, then, your good merits are God's gifts, God does not crown your merits as your merits, but as His own gifts." St. Augustine On Grace and Free Will

Repentance is not an option. It is an obligation and necessary if we wish to make it to heaven. We must become new creations in Christ Jesus without fail. And we must Train up our Children in that new creation in Christ. We are not just responsible for our owns souls but for sure the souls of our Children. As well there is a responsibility on our part for the sins and offences we cause to others, which in turn causes unintended affects on the lives of others. Our offences to others degrade the dignity of others. Our offending others may have life long impacts on their lives. Thus maybe why we have the verse that speaks about the "millstone tied around ones neck and being cast into the sea" as being better than offending one of Gods little ones. Holiness is a mandatory requirement for our being able to even see God. Our Faith is not an option, no matter how much free will or rope God gives us.
