I am lucky to own a few of this man's pieces of clothing, and every year I bring them out and welcome them like old friends. Good design truly is timeless.

I think now that the US is burning down they should put Ralph Lauren's advertisements in a time capsule of how it once was here in the US...... in the good ole days

Yes. The world isn't like this now, and it makes me feel a bit odd reading the book. If Ralph wants to retain his Homewares division, he really needs to bring in somebody who has his vision, but who can give his fans a more updated version of himself. Some of this, like the Uptown Collection, looks like really bad taste today.

Ralph, you definitely bring good taste out in your clothing and home furnishings. Hands down

Its a blessing to own anything RL. As a girl that grew up and graduated High School mid 80's in Texas, I remember the feeling of that new piece. I felt speacial. You can take the girl out of RL, but you can't take the RL out of a Texas girl.

Love the sumptuous book, and have been a huge fan forever, but seeing some of these favorite images again, I was surprised to feel quite differently about them today. Can everyone lead these enchanted impractical lives today? No they can't. Who would want to have so much decorative 'stuff' in a room that you can't move in it? I was also wondering why some of the more recent collections, that are in fact some of the best and most un cluttered contemporary interiors, and are glimpsed in this footage - aren't in the book. Modern Icons, Shelter Point and Black Palms, are easily three of his best collections, so seriously disappointed in those not being featured.
