Great video, great cars with proper gearboxes!! I really like the way the film has been edited to show a car going through two or three sections one after the other.

I may be wrong,but I think their have been more rallys won in a mk2 escort than any other vehicle Inc club, national and international etc.This is great way forward and hope to see more videos lin this format .

Nice vid. 2wd at front of field is way to go. Like 1400`s used to be a few years back. Other than a off road vehicle, is there any justification for 4wd ?

Thanks for the comment. Rally2WD is a new initiative where the two wheel drive cars complete the whole rally before the four wheel drives start. On this particular rally, there was around 140 2WD cars as compared to a dozen or 4WD!

Watching the old classic cars is much more interesting and entertaining. The modern cars all look the same and have no character.

Was that the Weasleys' flying Anglia, cunningly disguised?

Hope this format helps to maintain the healthy interest in historic rallying. MSA need to ensure only period modifications and parts are used. i e No carbon or kevlar and no remote reservoir shocks or sequential boxes. or even 5 speeds for that matter. If not fitted in period you don`t use it.

Oh don't worry about that as there's strict regulations for the championships :-).

That porsche lady had no idea what happened. Blamed oversteer when they just drove straight into a ditch

I work at Trackrod Rally each year .. and Drivers and fans have all been saying the same for years.

Carl Spencer It's how it should be and hopefully the cat 1's will be at the head of the field again where they used to be. I can see why the MSA introduced the new seeding ruling a few years ago, but the Mini's and Cortina's etc were getting damaged due to the ruts that the 4WD cars make.

It should also make it more cost effective for the owners to enter these beauties in more rallies.
