Raking Hay with dual 256 rakes on a New Holland 252 Rake Hitch. Fall Cutting 2022
Here we are raking our fall hay cutting with dual New Holland 256 rakes on the New Holland 252 Rake hitch. This thing speeds up raking by... well 2. We push them to one row but you can use them to make two separate rows as well. Pay attention to the corners to see how you have to steer the rake around the corners. As always thanks for watching.

My grandfather has this exact rake, but the hitch is a homemade hitch same design thoug

Yeah, a lot of people made these by hand as they were a very simple design. If I had not found this one for cheap at auction, I would have made my own as well.

Lot of vibration on tractors. I ended up finding a way to mount it that didn't vibrate as much later. It was also a much older gopro without video stabilization built in. More recent videos don't have the shakes. Thanks for the comment though.
What a good invention to have I used a rake hitch for 20 some years now and what a time saver I love it so much how much you could save in time and fuel using the twin rakes

Yeah this thing is so handy. So much time saved. Even if its too thick to put two into one you can make it go the other way and do two separate rows.
