Being of dark skin,no other film industry would have accepted him like the Tamil Film Industry, which itself was so fair hero centric. Imagine having Kamal Hasan as your competitor! Yet he succeeded,went on to do some memorable Hindi films with the support of none other than the Indian Superstar Amitabh Saab. Initially,even in Tamil movies he was more of a villain. Things changed because the audience simply loved him! Kamal was very supportive of Rajni,and told him that they dhould do individual films as heros instead of together. Kamal knew it would be hard for Rajni to grow as an actor if they acted together,where Kamal was always the main hero. Hats of to Kamal, Amitabh Saab, K. Balachander Saab, and other great people who made Rajnikanth a Dadasaheb Phalke awardee!

Director k.Balachander sir may have introduced him but the director s.p.muthuraman sir had brought him to the status what he was know. When we speak about Rajinikanth film career Without mentioning s.p.muthuraman it will not fullfill.

Bollywood audience acknowledge and respect his Style, acting,etc which was only in mostly Tamil movies. However, he was given his role in Bulandi as Anil Kapoor's father due to all these star power he had. The audience simply loved him!

The most important thing about him is his energy. He looks very simple, ordinary in real life. But in films, he surprises everyone with that extraordinary energy that belies his age. Another thing about him is his humbleness.
You really missied his debut in kannada cinema and his strugles in kannada cinemas He always wanted to work in Kannada films and also stared in few but later started struggling so on the advice of dr vishnuvardhan sir he learnt tamil and started acting In Tamil cinema

A Marathi guy, I think he was a bus conductor or something i.e. from a humble background (not a nepo baby which is a norm in South industry), manages to get acting roles in south india(defying the language barriers and cultural differences), becomes a villain in South Indian movies and then a mega star and continues his stardom for decades!!! Would love to watch his journey on big screen!!! ❤ The kind of dedication and hard work it muiat have taken for him to reach here!
