it was interesting to say the least.

We have all heard about climbing up the "promotional ladder", well i think you have just found it. When i was seven in 1963, (that very bad winter), it was my chore to riddle and clean out the old rayburn and scatter the ashes down the back steps, so i could get the coal out of the bunker and rebuild the new fire. I did that every day and used a handle exactly like that to remove the ash box. I had previously got my fire lighting badge in the cubs. The solid fuel rayburn provided, heating, hot water and cooking and woe betide me if i got it wrong.

The busker was playing the perfect song, considering the weather. That was an interesting contraption he was riding/playing, too. (Yes, we in the States know 'Any Umbrellas'. It's been used in at least two Bugs Bunny cartoons.)

still finding guns looks like a good one , and i agree that piano bike was tops and that ladder or what ever it was massive and tell terri if spelt her name wrong but she still does a good job you all are keep up the good work . terry

Yet another one of those hitch-hiking bottles, well i never. The spannery type thing looks like the handle i used to use to riddle out the ashes from the fire box.

That thing you said looked like a spanner, could be, the tool used to open the door, and lift the ash-pan of a hot coal or wood burning stove…..

Seems you all need to cover your heads when it is raining. Also rig you up a portable type winch at least a 250 lb. for the heavy items.
