I have always liked goat meat for many years. They ain't no different than any other animals on the farm. Everything on the farm has a purpose crops for sale for the family to eat or animals to eat the same with animals being for sale for family to eat or for family pets but no matter what everything must have an identified purpose in order to be profitable and not running negative. So haters don't hate it is just the way it is. I do think y'all take real good care of the goats and they do have a good life there. Peace and blessings y'all be safe bye for now

My doctor told me about 15 years or so to eat goat meat rather than lamb. Lamb has too much fat and I am diabetic and have high blood pressure. I prefer the goat and you can use goat the same way you would use lamb. I love barbecue goat. I make stews and soups and I soak the goat in lemon juice and vinegar and cook with a bit of beef bacon oil or Indian oil. I also use Indian spices and the spices my husband makes for his lamb. I would love to have goat brats.

@@BoisDArcKikos many goat dishes can be found on KZread, I was amazed at the many I have saved. As far as my diabetes since I have eaten Goat meat in the place of of lamb, my A1C’s are 5.9 way down from A1C’s in the 800’s. My medicine has been reduced. It’s cheaper to buy a goat from you or someone who raises than in a grocery store. With prices of meat and everything being so high it’s good to try different foods. Goat milk from an African milk goat is great. Crystal out of Arizona who raises African milk goats made ice cream and she’s made cheeses and yogurt and wonderful soaps she sells.

If you dont mind giving up some secrets, a detailed video on the whole process would be pretty cool. I raise and sell "pet" dairy goats. I dont know where to take meat goats to sell or get processed. Once they are processed and packaged and in your posession how do you sell the meat. Do they need to be registered with an association? Look up recipes for curried goat or stews online. I raise kikos (have a BT son) and have bought goat meat at a farmers market to see how it tasted. I don't butcher myself, I just sell for others to butcher at this time. Cook it slowly and in liquid - it is fantastic 😋!
