Riased Fist is THE band that brought me to this scene, when I was 15. Now I'm 20, and I still love this band. Big props to them, their music helped me through a lot of hard times.

i agree... and yeah you can put a lot into several different genres... as far as taking a lesson in music. its when people call like... screamo or something metal... when its far from it... thats all... just major genres you can classify or oddball ass genres like blues punk... because thats suck a different progressive sound like nothing else... but there is a LOT of grey ares in all music

i aplod you... most people dont know shit about music... you are right about punk hardcore how long its been around and NYCH... but i still concider NYCH and EBHC bands are still hardcore as that is only a sub cateorgry of it... maybe thats just me but that might come down to opinion more then on fact... and converge used to be way punk hardcore in the early 90's but i think they have changed lately

The first style of music that had the word "hardcore" in the name was hardcore punk. Hatebreed, Madball, Sick of it All are examples of what people call "New York hardcore" and is more into heavy riffs. The riffing of Raised Fist reminds me alot of the poppier, more melodic side of In Flames, but without the occasional heaviness. Also..."hardcore punk" has been around since the late 70's. And Converge/Hope Conspiracy are more punk than metal in my ears.

you obviously need a lesson in music... that is not hardcore... music like this has been called hardcore WAY longer then that new "hardcore" has been around... this is original hardcore... look it up if you dont believe me... that "hardcore" music youre talkinb about it actually called metalcore... i know that converge has been aroung since like... way early 90's but it still isnt hardcore

well i love raised fist but i dislike this song, songs like hertz island escapades, go away and that's why are much better.
