My life has been a part of this band for years and this album is like a shot that makes your life feel awesome

01. Flow Raised Fist belong to the beat, our sound from the open windows to the street. This beat always on repeat, from d-takt to a fucking blastbeat. Now let me contemplate when I dedicate this song to the instigators that seem to levitate from joy when shit goes wrong. I want to participate in the debate, fascinated of how you fabricate stories about how much money we made. Let's get this straight, the first decade was unpaid. We will drop when our hearts stop. From the club to the squat, you people chose the spot. When I jump up, look under both of my feet. Commander up here, you are obsolete. Och även om du snacka skit, it's just a receipt, a proof of you feeling incomplete. 02. Chaos Six-figure salary and still not fed up with insanity. Sound like you are mentally ill and I still wonder why you keep chasing the dollar bill. Organized crime, leather shoes, expensive watch, big mansion, still you cry at night. How sweet, your kids in the backseat while you smoke and work on the next tweet. Everyone in the gang so happy, then it ends with a bang. A piece of processed food in the corner of your mouth, when you pushed her south and because the man that you did not plan. It was like you could not command your own body. You could not withstand. Done, when done, cash in the hand, zip your pants up, back to a happy marriage and family land. Let it be said, you should be dead. Let it be said, they should be dead. When I feel down and low, in the city of cold where the snow falls, and no flowers seem to grow. We try to go out on tour, we try to ignore the insecure media whores burning out of control. 03. Man & Earth Stop and listen. Standing on top of this beautiful world watching the clouds rearrange, but I'm not the least entertained. I want to complain about climate change. It might not be of your concern. Finish your bottle of water and return to the beach in order for the sun to burn a little more. You will never learn. When you play with your kids on the grass in box of glass. Connecting the dots from the past and the shadow it casts, called greenhouse gas. Stop and listen. It takes impressive wisdom, corporatism in order to stand up straight, by living in symbiosis with this ecosystem. Dinnertime with wine, pantomime, nobody wants to discuss and underline any signs of environmental crimes. Keep playing angry birds on your iphone. Keep filling your breasts with silicone. Keep building muscles with testosterone. Stay away from all the unknown. Keep moving around in your comfort zone. Keep filling your head with shit 'til it blows. Keep cutting up wounds that can't be resewn. Keep cutting down trees that took thousands of years to grow. Keep ignoring the next cyclone. Keep on postponing. Keep on going until you're all alone. We take another bank loan to buy new homes where we can sit and moan and consume pain relieving methadone. Relaxing on the porch, the passing of the torch. Take a last breath, you just found death. It's a new day, another game. This is how we play when we betray man and earth. A bad combination. People are asleep. Maximum sedation. 04. In Circles You move around in circles but I never saw you in the circle pit. Stand back admit that you will never commit to the scene that you and your friends ripped into shit. Counterfeit. I rather slit my wrist than be such a hypocrite. And we still don't give a fuck about what game you're playing. We were busy breaking our ribs in the pit yesterday. And we stand behind one crew, we go around the world to have some fun. And you have no clue, while getting your hair and nails done. Young, just became twenty-one. Still writing lyrics like a sailor that have lived hundreds of hard years under the sun. This is close to the end, and we must say that time is running out for you and your friends. No you can't attend, we can't pretend that you can represent, so here we go again. You try to stab us in the back, small cuts, like the now dead crews cruising around 96 and never had the guts to come up front for a closer view, afraid to get a little bruised. 05. We Will Live Forever I love the stars, the dark, the moon, the satellites. This is when I write, so how could I fear the night? Instead it's when a glimpse of light appears. The projection is what I fear. Hardship and sorrow they reappear and sometimes it's hard to even breathe in this atmosphere. Most of us know how to reload and cope while others they choose the rope. Swim in this sea of life or get stuck in the undertow. And as we all try to live forever our parents they pass away and our friends they cannot stay. Meanwhile we will try to endeavor. We will carry the weight, try to explain and show you the way. And as we all tried to live forever, we passed away. A flame cannot last in this never ending rain. Meanwhile you will endeavor, you will carry the name, hopefully know the way and not be afraid. I love the sun, the flowers, the snow, the grey overlay. This is when you wake. How could I hate? And when a glimpse of light appear you are suddenly here. Hardship and sorrows they reappear and sometimes it's hard to even breathe in this atmosphere. But it feels like I achieved something that will make me feel ok and real when it's time for me to finally leave. 06. Sanctions Can you feel it in the atmosphere? Another bad year, when superpowers interfere and media declare that war is near. It's coming back like a ghost. Warships near the coast. All about natural resources our westerners need the most. Military power and insanity. The government is a travesty. Another strange sick dictatorship, but it's cheap. Kids working 24 hours evvery day of the week. It won't disturb your sleep. What about the counterpart? I don't even know where to start. Losing my breath. We could not even act on tyrants gassing children to death. What makes us act so dozed? Resources our westerners need the most. What are the sanctions about? They're shutting down your netflix account? How can we just digest tyrants gassing children to death? 07. Ready To Defy Can I rescue you one day? Don't stay, you are afraid everyday. Violence on its way, not ok. Hip hip hurray, birthday mom and daddy is drunk again. A replay. Don't lie. No one can justify. I simply don't qualify. We're on standby. Nuclear power, not nearby, but close enough to hear you cry. Top of the morning, coffe with antidepressants. Silence around the table, no presence. Forgiven again, before you finish a sentence. You look at them both and imagine them headless. You feel for them, but you also feel depressed. You look at them all and imagine them headless. Losing yourself, cause you will never forget, cause... I might do or say something unauthorized, all your worst fears summarized. This time I'm saying good bye, I'm ready to defy. Someone outside decided to start a fight. Something is wrong inside. I'm walking around like dynamite. Had no sleep tonight. I feel dizzy, I feel terrified. I might do or say something unauthorized. You need a shoulder to lean on, not someone throwing more gasoline on. The fire already burning heavily inside. Ready to defy. 08. Depression New era smart phone fashion editors turning kids into competitors. The normal world seems to collapse and these rats makes no place for any handicaps. Out of the limousine you look so supreme. Photoshop made you look like a dream. Backstage cocaine, amphetamine, the perfect role model for a teen. Another stream on the computere screen. I see shit that I would want to leave unseen. Looking for a mainstream figurine, close to the edge, pc and you live clean. Newborn poser, you were supposed to stay true to the scene. Now you make a living out of children with low self esteem. On the bring of collapse, you people are running laps. Hiding behind your masks, circling like maniacs. We should have known better. 09. Gates When we wake up and we open our eyes, always surprised. These powerful men they want to colonize. It started disguised as an exercise. This is not a sensation, turning into a full scale invasion. People engaged in gunfights to achieve fundamental rights. Aiming to destabilize, immoralize, nationalize. It's just a masquerade. Soldiers in shades, invade countries without understanding that they are a part of the latest crusade. Orchestrated by a lie, in order to petrify countries nearby. The new world designer wants to recreate the empire. Go. 10. Until The End I feel this anger running through my veins and I don't know why. Everyday feels the same. Can't explain. No time to pacify, no time to let it rest. Real friends, I keep them close to my chest, like a bullet proof vest, and they never try to test. They don't always need to know best. Sometimes they give you shit that is hard to digest. They be honest to you and what's next. Even more importantly, even when they treat you wrong they will confess. And they will only stay if you stay the same. Don't play any games if you want it to remain. A strong relationship is hard to maintain. We will stay like this until the end. Real people don't have to pretend and they defend their friends until the end. I feel this anger, running around in my head and I don't know why. Your lies only magnifies, I'm burning inside. You got up on your high horse to glorify and sell yourself like the best of friends. A real businessman on descend, never know what you intend. I will take actions depending on what my psychiatrist recommend. You are driven by success. I am closing up behind and you feel the stress. But I have to come close in order to find out what the price tag says. 11. Unsinkable No one could disregard the fact that we always go hard when we step into the studio and when we record. We started the band when I was sixteen, went up the stage with low self-esteem. Remember people like you, you thought you were supreme. That's it, wow we're wiping out your whole team. Keep on picking on the weak, we take you down. When you sneak and your ego peak, we take you down. When you try to move and hide, we come to your town. When people like you come around. We just took some time off to park, you dogs went online and started to bark with silly remarks that just lit the spark. This is complete homicide, when we push your breakdowns aside, bring the real shit designed to satisfy something your fans finally identify. This is from the HBC CREW. Telling people who talk shit and have no fucking clue that the unsinkable ship would stay true to all friends, traitors, haters, enemies and even you. 5 years away and you got cold feet and there was no other band to put on repeat. But guess what, Raised is back in the front seat with a clean sheet, bringing serious heat. Look at the clock. The unsinkable ship loaded up and ready to undock.

The guys came to "La Dynamo" (Toulouse - FR) and it was just freaking perfect. We had *very* good fun!!!

HOly fuck how did I not know this came out. Two fucking years ago! Dedication is one of my favorite punk/hardcore albums of all time. This sounds so good so far, getting so pumped listening to these jams. Long live raised fist! Way to under appreciated

Just reminds me when I saw this band live for the first time, 8 years ago, when Alexander told the audience that you should rather steal or download the album instead of buying it, because the label takes all the money and they don't get shit.

This is the most innovative shit I've heard in a long time.

If you 'really' want to support them, follow their tours. It's super easy to find their music in stores too. Dot it up bitches! I bought 3 tickets to their shows before I finally got to see them at rockfest 2015. They keep breaking body parts :P

Are they still in Sweden? I listen to a little of everything including Raised Fist from Sweden. Im usually listening to Flow, Chaos, Man and Earth, and We Will Live Forever.

Good album overall

I remember seeing them live for the first time in Avesta parken. They were so new and their style chocked people. Just after they had few songs on cheap shot 2 and released the youre not like me ep :) only me 1 friend and one of their friends was moshing the whole time :) The rest of the audience stood like 10m back and just watched and didnt know what to think,. awesome memory. oh and the drummer was drunk as fuck, hahaha. I know this band since the album with friends or traitors on it. Ever since then I read in the comment section that their time has finally come. I think that will never really happen because the sound is not all that...sorry to say so. I think the music is ok They have a rather fanatic image (like activists) and they are boring at the same time. The real downside on RF is the choking vocals. dont you guys hear that? The song brick after brick is the only one that suits the vocals and therefore the only RF song i can relax too and enjoy. ow i see brick after brick is called " sound of the republic". It's a song that marches by like an entire peleton of soldiers...impressive rythmn, 100% perfectly executed. Respect for making the good song!

You know, the more i listen to it, the more i think Raised Fist have try to do the '' black Album '' of Hardcore. Raised fist sound have change and evolve over the years, just like Mettalica. I will always remember Lars Ulric saying in documentary about the black album that if, back then, they would have done a '' justice for all part.2 '' they will have gone crazy and quit doing metal... Yet it is undeniable that even if the black album was lightyears aways from ride the Lightining, it was still good...and it open metal to people that would have NEVER listen to metal otherwise. Maybe that is what Raised Fist have try to do, make a '' black album-ish '' for Hardcore, opening hardcore to a wider audience...I mean signs are there ; The hardcore Balads(...), more structured soungs, less trashy,more melody. Those were there in previous album but not as present that in '' from the north ''. I mean no offence by saying this, it is just someething that IMO explain this changed in Raised Fist. I would have totaly embraced another '' between the demons '', '' friend and traitor '' , '' They can't keep us down '' , '' Illustration of desesperation ''. But maybe those guys are tired of doing this, or just want to have something different to play in concert. From The North is Good...but i didnt get that adrenaline rush that previous album were giving me...'' get this right '' do i need to explain this, the difference in energie in fromt the north compare to ignoring the guidelines.... Than again, different time means different music and message....and Raised Fist is not getting any younger, maybe it is because they are getting old...i don't know.

Neakob Have you even listened to the albums before FTN? Both SOTR and Veil includes so much more "commercial softness for the wider audience" then From The North. Just listen to words and phrases and my last day and realize you are way off.

Niclas Bäck I did listen to the other album...you would have figure that out IF you would have properly read my comment. FTN have a more rockish sound than VOI and is way less trashy. Maybe for you trash sound is commercial is rockish is not, but IMO clear rockish sound is WAY more commercial than Trash...just look at Linking Park with minutes to midnight....

Neakob i could not agree less. FTN has a much rougher sound, which makes it bad for radio. Both SOTR and VOI has super clean sound. With proper clean vocal hit choruses like on "sound of the republic", and real ballads as "my last day" and words and phrases. On SOTR both "killing it" and "and then they run" are pure rock and roll songs. With this album close to 10 years of age, i would not comply with the black album analogy "lightyears away from...". Earlier albums, which are very old today, still have a more commercial edge then their latest one in many areas.

I love raised fist since stronger the fuckin ever,but guys where is the speed from albums like ignoring the guidelines or dedication?

I lost interest in them after they switched styles. I guess you can only play fast hardcore songs for so long and keep up that intensity and energy.

An over produced, speedless, souless piece of crap. The worst album these guys have put out. I'm off to listen to Dedication and Ignoring the Guidelines instead.
