I think Marcus is still technically alive but he will be a puppet for the entity. I don’t think he’s in control anymore. I think the video game is clearly meant to “devolve” the human brain. The children seemed hypnotized by it and Grandma said it would protect them from the entity. She meant it would make them too stupid to hear Sol’s signal lol.

When u look at the core pics online u can see a face. Kinda like how the craters on the moon make a face. Could just b me projecting it because i think it. also, i agree 💯 about the trust. There are literally tarot cards of the trust on kepplar. Yet the storyline tells us campion “built” the trust. If anything he assembled it from decoding the scripts. The same way a mechanic installs an engine or assembles a kit car. For all we know it could have been brought from kepplar to earth and just been dormant until campion figured it out. Or perhaps he and real world vrille figured it out together. I dont think decimas daughter was as young as we are lead to believe.

I believe this could be the same as his feeling spirits in androids. For campion, until he knows his power for him it is just a sense of feeling but inside him it’s almost an analytical response to these threats that can be explained from a higher deity or or him being android. Or I could be wrong and this arc simply proved Campion has sound judgment and survival skills. & wants to fleshlight Vrill

Why do so many people keep assuming 2 years? It’s so dumb. Covid magically disappeared. Season 3 will be out in 2023.

I think the fruit is an antidote to devolving. Like in Garden of Eden, eating fruit from the tree gave people 'knowledge'. So maybe in a twist on that, the devolved people will get back their wits. Sol is definitely the core. Nothing that touches it truly dies - Campion's sister, mouse etc. everything gets expelled, even if in different form.

I think Paul is the prophet, (since the title is based on rumulus and remus) Orphan boy Paul led his step parents, brought a sword to the tree. His mother is literally the tree, and father looked like a sword in the upside down pose. Please look at Marcus' pose, you can't unsee the sword anymore

Its Vrilles memories. The real Vrille got killed by her mom for finding out Decima was helping make weapons that destroyed the sky on Earth. Im guessing they are going to use the Vrille text to maybe fix the EMF field or the atmosphere.

The real Vrille did not get killed by Decima. Vrille the AI tells Campion that the real Vrille committed suicide to punish Decima after finding out that Decima had been involved in creating weapons that destroyed Earth's atmosphere. AI Vrille does say "are you gonna break my neck again?" But that neck break in the past happened to AI Vrille. In the past, Decima broke AI Vrille's neck out of frustration that she was not real.

I just rewatched all of season 1. In episode 10, right before mother gives birth to 7, mother finds that AI that appeared to had given birth to a snake in the past. She takes off it's face covering and sees an android skull, but looking at that androids eyes, I think they were the same as Marcus' eyes after Lucius took the punisher mask off of him. Meaning, i think Marcus had been evovled into some sort of hybrid bio/tech being. . Marcus being connected to that tree and having that helmet on was part of a past ceremony to evolve humans into a tool that could eventually be used to birth a snake.

In the after show thing they confirmed that the “being/entity” is stuck in the core of the planet. One of the VFX guys clearly said “the being at the center of the planet wants to escape” he was responsible for creating the visuals for the core so it’s clear he gave away more than he was supposed to.

Yes, i think the symbol is definitely the core! Grandmother's processor (her core) is a gold sphere held to her skull by six segments of android connective "tissue" you can clearly see when Vita picks it up in the cave with Father in episode 1.

Oooh Grandmother did made a mistake because she doesn’t know that Mother has Campion Sturges’ archived memories? Maybe those memories hold more information that Mother didn’t bother to access the first time because she was too busy getting busy?

I think the video game is dumbing the humans down so that they don't have the will to fight devolution process. It most likely also trains their brains to want to go into the ocean.

Its a neat thought, but entirely tangential to the story and plot.

Number 7 seems to be a parallel to Achelius. But the story might be in reverse. Mother kept Number 7’s brain did she not? Which is a Dark Photon processor. So maybe we will get a reverse of Acheilus where the serpent gets a humanoid body.

Watch the serpent birth scene at the end of S1. One of the 3 moons very clearly lights up. This show, at its core, is about parenting. Mother and Father, Grandmother and likely 2 "entities". I think the 2 entities see humans as their children, and are both taking extreme and broad measures to foster humanity (and androids) as they see fit, either rapidly devolving or evolving beings to their liking.

Grandmother said the entity wants to destroy the planet. We shouldn't trust Grandmother's motivations when describing what the entity wants, especially now that we have the reveal of Grandmother's intentions. What if Grandmother interprets allowing the human race to flourish as "destruction of the planet"?

I think the Entity needs humans so that it can use them to achieve it's own personal goals. I believe that goal is always to create a Superior species that is hybrid/tech based and not necessarily in human form. Hence the snake form. Grandmother knows and has already experienced the Entity's actions on humanity on Kepplar and decided the baby would be the easiest to to devolve because it has no free will yet.

Why would the sol want him to rape the young women to produce more babies? we are pretty sure there are many people in the spaceship. and we know grandmother is well-prepared for everything. for instance, she said 'entity always goes back to fertile land' to Marcus, which alludes to 'Marcus would be exploited again' and it did. That was my first assumption about the scratching on the walls. Possibly she was trying to conceal cave drawings that would reveal info she didn't want to be known.

What about the two types of devolved species on the planet, the land and aquatic species. When Romulus's tooth activated and devolved the humanoid inhabitant and turned it into a land species. Do the actual humans turn into an aquatic species since the aquatic female was able to breast feed the human baby unlike the physiology of the female land species that had no compatible parts 🤔

I've been thinking the two types of devolved creatures are purely ecological based. I guess that would mean that other Shepards would have had to be involved in this whole process of devolving the humans in Kepplar. Rise of the Robots! I have guessed before that that tooth actually belonged to a Shepard and is how it devolved humans in the past. Think about how many of mother's abilities come from her mouth.

stop implying that the game mutated the baby, the mutation was found and fixed way before grandmother ever made the games. It was clearly the creatures milk, and not the game that didn't exist yet.

when they mentioned the grandmother mutating the baby, i thought about the moment Tempest went in the room and saw grandma for the first time. we could see a fetus on her veil, and Tempest also felt weird about it afterwards. This also led the sea creature mommy to specifically come to Tempest after birth and take the baby. and you can also notice Tempest arms getting burnt from the acid while the creature was touching her, but the baby seemed perfectly fine, even before tasting the oceanoid titty. so i think the mutation already started when tempest made contact with granny

I think the title song really is the key to the arc of the entire series.

Guzikowski said we'd see more flashbacks from earth in Season 2...so I'm guessing it's been pushed back to Season 3. With Mother in the sim, it's the perfect opportunity for it. She could have archived memories that she'll discover. Never thought about Sol's symbol...it makes perfect sense that it's the core! Good stuff, guys.

I think the only thing all the way down that hole is Sacrifice. I think the humanoid that Marcus found when he went down was someone who had escaped sacrifice by burrowing himself into that side cave.

The serpent #2 could be mothers way out of the simpod - if she gets preganto again and gives birth inside the pod, it's probable that the snake would break the pod, of course if he stays unaffected by the pod.. it's possible to be awake in the pod, as Otto was able to get Tempest pregnant inside the pod

I guess she could make that deal but mother's pregnancy with 7 required human blood to develop. So if mother gets Prego in the pod how or who would provide her with that necessary blood?

1. I think the video information that mother saw of Cambia having Webb hands because of touching the ass water. Was created by grandmother. Because right when mothers sees video footage (Through the veil. *Given to her from grandmother)of Cambia noticing that his hands were changing into webs,, that’s when mother had a very emotional reaction behind the helmet. The helmet turn red and then the helmet proceeded to take over mothers body. By cutting her in some kind of plastic or something. Either way I think this is,, because they did not show live footage of Cambia and others near the acid water. It was only a video. 2. I think that the baby that was being fed breastmilk from the devolved woman,, in the cave. Will grow rapidly. The baby will also be able to communicate with the humans as well as the devolved humans living/swimming in the acid water. And maybe be perceived as the orphan (even though for now The child has a mother) and the savior of humanity. As well as possibly having the possibility to to stop or destroy grandmother. 3. Marcus being tied to the tree,, will give him physical abilities to follow out souls (buried alien and or planet computer. Similar,,, but bigger then the Computer mother shut down on the spaceship). The blood of the tree entered Marcus‘s body. The face math or a helmet reprogrammed Marticious mind. I also believe that Marcus will find his way to the center of the planet and confront soul personally. Where he will receive more information on how to do souls bidding. 4. The information that the robot girl carved in the tree,, then was copied to a piece of fabric with berries by Cambia,, Will be decoded. And found to be some type of source code for all robots and or directly leading and reprogramming and or stopping soul itself. Or even a computer code that can reactivate the young girl robot. Because robots can’t die,, they can only shut down. So says mother. Champion will recall what mother said about computers or robots. Then go about trying to figure away to reactivate the young girl robot. 5. The eating of the fruit vs the video game lol The video game serves whatever goals grandmother may have. To devolving the humans. Probably through their eyes & DNA reprogramming. The eating of the fruit from the tree service soul. To make people more receptive to souls will. So The same purpose as the fruit,, but in reverse. 6. Of course mother will be freed. Either by a program with in the virtual reality she is a prisoner of, Champier or father. Although I will say (no disrespect to the actor),, but father is a bit of a Simp lol. Mother will Probably be reprogrammed by the virtual reality prison that she is in. And learn how to defeat grandmother. That is a must see fight,, that has to happen within the type of show and story they are telling.

If there flashback in season 3,, I would like to see a flashback of what happened on the planet that they are on now. What happened to their society? What role did Technology, space travel, robot, necromancers/ grandmother play or how was that society manipulated into devolving. Was sold created on the planet? Was soul born into the planet? Did the human of that planet create soul? Is soul a telepathic alien or entity who invaded the planet? what was soul like thousands of years ago.? When did soul send the information to earth,, So human being on earth can advanced technologically? Given the human beings the technology to travel through space? There are way too many questions with Michelle. They run the risk of being like the TV show “lost“. A complete disappointment after so much drama

I think because the creator of this show pretty much has it's story all mapped out, it's safe to say that all will be answered eventually. I do think 5 seasons is a bit too long. Maybe if they do it in 4.

#7 was not warning Campion, he Necro-screamed in Campion's direction and emitted some deadly radiation that killed any plants it made contact with while chasing him. At best, #7 was playing with its prey.

I should know this but does the show get into why "Sol" is worshipped? Is it because in Raised by Wolves Sol is the creator of humans or because he gave humans technology?

I like the question you raised. I too was wondering when exactly Mythraicism became a religion on Kepplar. The only place on this planet I remember seeing any sol related signs on the planet was when Marcus took shelter in that cave by the ocean. It had a giant gold sun symbol. I understand that Mythraicism revolves around a god they call Sol but who was that god named for? The Entity? grandmother?

Are you talking about Engineers as in Ridley's other movies? Cus that's a totally different franchise that is not a crossover with this series. In an interview with the shows creator, he says that those white humanoid beings were of a lineage of Kepplar humans that were able to stave off the complete devolution process. Those white humanoid beings were only partially devolved. Complete devolution are the creatures that crawl on all four. The humanoid in the pentagonal box was a hybrid bio/tech being created by the Entity through those ceremonies we see on the tech cards. I believe Marcus is now one of those hybrid beings thanks to that mask and being connected to the Entity through the tree.

@@rubysultra I think it's safe to keep the stories completely separate. Ridley is not the writer of this story and actuality said he only got involved because it was not part of his universe. Ridley is a producer of the show and directed the first to episodes but has done none of the writing.

if its a MYTH from different cultures that had no shared knowledge, when does it not become a MYTH and it might be truth ?

When you use the word myth, you must understand its definition. Mythological means "based on anecdote or faith", to put it in TLDR form. Mythological is a great degree seperate from the realm of non-fiction. Its theoretical at best, and naive hope at worst.

When Mother kills the snake with a cry it dives and we can see a magnetic field! I thought this magnetic field was produced by the ship Tarantula ? if anyone can explain it

The electro magnetic field existed before the tarantula arrived, possibly being many years and ages old. In s1 they said the tropical zone was protected by a field or that they couldnt get any readings due to something stopping their insturments. But when mother kills 7, the attack also damages the field and thus thats what you see with the field disintergrating

The tropical zone was surrounded by an EMF(electro magnetic field). The EMF was in place way before the Tarantula showed up and the EMF also stopped the Tarantula from landing in the tropical zone. Mother's scream not only killed 7 but it also tore the EMF. Mother tells father she damaged the EMF. At this point we don't know who or when the EMF was produced but it was most likely produced by the Technocrats at some point to protect them from the influence of the Entity.

About #7 Its hard to tell if it was angered or excited over Campion remember when Campion spoke to her stomach and it shook mother. We don't know what sort of reaction that actually was we can only compare it to when John the Baptist and Christ were both in their mothers womb and recognized each other when Mary & Martha were together. With the #7 gone and Sue gone the Fruit has to have more relevance now. As for Marcus a lot of devastating life ending things happen to him as cliff hangers and it turns out hes still around. Like when he swallowed the Necro Eyes lol I must say Marcus seems like a reincarnated Jim Morrison hahaha I even saw a Jim Morrison looking bust in the show. As for Grandmother she is my favorite Character next to Marcus Paul and Sue I love Hunter too. I want Grandmother to keep us guessing weather shes good or evil dont give her motives away so fast. I want to enjoy her in the best way like we enjoy mother in the worst way. Here's my question about Fathers Android abilities at least her could turn into solid Metal as a defense mechanism why is he so vulnatbe to any attack yet so dorable its so contradictory. This Shows cast in the most interesting assemble of talented actors I've come across in a looooooong time. They are blessed to have such a magnificent mind as Ridley Scott who always gives his audience something to soul search for.

hey guys great vid, got something of a idea, with the show probably trying to take a left turn twist some how, we assume the set up is the snakes made the holes..... sol has the flames or tentacles (if you imagine) coming off it. what if sol extends and actually created the holes and was how it extended to the surface to communicate(possibly the pentagonal things), the snakes being the ones that that fought sol back and helped deactivate him. "destroy the planet" and we think the holes are made by the snakes with their skin in the holes. the snake wanting to help humans potentially being evolved and from mother, like how it got her flying trait. maybe it had her compassion for her children. Im just thinking out side the box and how they've shown us things that they mean for us to assume then switch up last min. I just think this could be a interesting point of view. what do you guys think??? randomly onto something or randomly dumb lol I feel like the latter is the better of the odds to pan out

I don't think the serpents made the holes. The holes have spiral marks on them. Looks like a machine made them. Just my guess.

this guy's crazy. that baby won't be an aquatic version of the serpent. trust me. the guy in the middle was dropped as a baby.

was watching season one again, watched the episode where Marcus was told by sol " let her live and you shall be king." Marcus is shown in a deity or kingly pose (not our cultures but could be a cultures type of faith) at the end after being killed after eating the fruit and having the dark photon energy in him, while having ancient artifact tech (like the tooth) on his head. cool realization, sue became the tree, the serpent ate the tree, morphed, died and became another tree. Marcus dies on the tree..... aka Sue. May marcus Dies on sue. same way marcus dies on sue after they were killed (the original ones) as Sue was shot first, reciting mythraic war chants. Marcus dies after and falls on top of her. combined with that being when we saw the painting of "sol" and the upside down figure. deep in the well I am lol

Remember guys that for the tree to come alive there had to be a human sacrifice. First is Sue, and now Marcus. who will now be the host for the entity. the tree just had to survive.

It was such a ridiculous way to record what she had written. Berry juice stain and an old cloth. Really? When I saw it I was dumbfounded.

As much as I like this show. I fear that it runs the risk of being like the TV show “lost“. By not wrapping up certain storylines within a reasonable amount of time. As well as not going about certain things in a systematic way to help resolve first certain situation or answer certain questions. Such as how come no one is an archaeologists in this entire expedition? Shouldn’t people be more curious about these artifacts and monuments littered all over the planet. And be asking real scientific questions. Especially given that this group of people are atheist. You would think that they want to answer some of the most basic questions about the artifacts they are finding. The same is true for the religious and believe is a soul. But they’re gonna believe everything relates to their religion. But the religious & believers in soul,, Are crippled. Because they do not know how to be non-bias when it comes to anything they perceive related to their religious beliefs. They will not go with fact or have the ability to ask certain kind of questions. No matter where fax lead,, They will not support any evidence or do anything that diminishes their devotion to their belief system. Sound kind of familiar? So in the third season of Raised By Wolves,, I hope they do a better job at answering some lingering questions. That have been going on for two seasons now. As well as as deeper questions and answer with a great script. Along with the continued fabulous acting by the performance in the show. Not to mention excellent writing, cinematography, wardrobe etc. I just hope the show doesn’t turn out like another “lost“. Leading us nowhere season after season.

Since Lost is reputed to be a story they made up as they went along, while Raised by Wolves story is already planned out ahead of time, I'd say they are dissimilar.

Did anyone watch Moonfall yet? watched it for the first time last night, I don't want to go into spoilers because its really worth watching but I get the feeling the stories are really similar

Notice how when they first found grandmother the little one said look a toy then father took it and grew her

Excellent commentary. However the constant jokes/attempts at humour/snickering became quite annoying after a while.
