Tank of rain

Without a large amount of enemies making me whistle a lot and hit a lot of enemies at once, the raindrops barely show up :(

im late but use raining bastion ring instead of lucky ring because lucky ring take away protection and 3 raining proc way more and heal more too edit: also infuse lord dung legging instead of reaper ninja for more defense and extra hex dmg

could you theoretically do raining steam golem to negate the -% fire boost that steel sentry gives in exchange for a little less phys def?

I don't really see the point since cragstone already doing a lot of damage, and you will also lose out of 1 Bulwalk which helps a lot in taking, also whistle warrior perk does air damage so you might get burn from the steam golem (not sure if it procs). But feel free to experiment

i remember reaper ninja set being deal more dmg to enemies with debuffs not when you have debuff though.

Your options are -Corrupt caci for more water damage (60% boost) -Corrupt steel sentry for more fire damage when using the IcyHot (60% boost) If I were to swap out snail, I'd make one of the steel sentry tanky since when testing, I did not see a significant difference between 2 and 3 raining enchant, so instead of Wall of Taunt Rune, make that Raining, and have a tanky steel sentry Or just go nuts and have 2 corrupted caci and raining steel sentry and raining taunt rune with lucky ring -> raindrop does a lot more damage and heal more per drop.

Time to make icyhot and straight up make people quit 😂

how do i get gilded essence?

wouldnt grandmagic great essence be better than gilded because grandmagic great essence gives 30% dmg reduction which is basicly another reinforce (stacking the two would give 60% dmg reduction both without and blocking)

Not sure if grandmagic is 30% but if it is, it can potentially be better. Definitely gonna test it once I can, just a little busy lately, or you can test it and lmk the result that would be great

@@ahenryng oh yes for sure, i tested it and grandmagic is indeed better for just pure dmg reduction (i forgot the exact numbers) but the fact that grandmagic has magic scaling makes it not viable dps wise (i do about 45-50 dmg with grandmagic and about 78-80 with gilded). so for pure tanks grandmagic is better but for versatile tanks gilded would be better since the dmg reduction doesnt change much between the two (not enough to be hugely noticable).

@@Tororobas I see. I really appreciate that you tested this. One thing that I'm still wondering is that whether grandmagic bubble damage would proc rain or crag, but I assume not. It'd be very good otherwise

@@ahenryng i think they made it so the bubble doesnt count as ur dmg, since it doesnt proc any passive that ive tested.

Wouldn't scow marauder be better as a replacement for the infusion steel sentry because you're already running monk? And if you use the cantrip it just gives more physical resistance. (Scow marauder gives a perk called, Frozen Heart where you gain physical resistance based off your cold resistance, and monk's by default have like 150% cold resistance.)

Monk cantrip is a status, it doesn't add to the cold resistance stats which Frozen Heart needs to scale off of. Also 150% cold resistance doesn't give that much more phy def for 0.1 of the perk

personally I'd rather keep the defense from the gilded essence since you wouldn't get much water boost from the armors anyway, but sculpted ability to freeze enemies can be good. It is up to your playstyle at the end of the day. Feel free to experiment, have a little fun

i put reaper ninja as like an optional offensive armor but yeah, you can go for any other armor pieces that buff damage. Deep steel can be good in frog dungeon

Whistle warrior mind of have higher base phys defence (18% vs 15% of steel sentry)

you're right, the way I worded was pretty weird, although whistle might have slightly more phy def, the extra protection and the perk Bulwalk makes it a slightly better tanking option, as more whistle warrior doesn't increase the chance or the range of the whistle, rather it just deals more air dmg for the whistle so its not really worth having more than 1. But you can just mess around experiment and see what works.

Never tried it, but you probably can. Wouldn't call it a tank, it'd just be pretty tanky.

Can you recommend anything to this build: Armor: Full mythical stacked Raining wall of taunt rune lucky ring İnfusions: steel sentry whistle warrior rockhare croakernaut shield gilded essence Im between corr snailsman and mythical stacked for head, since MS doesn't give that much prot, or CSN doesnt give any tenacity. Im also afraid 0.1 bulwark won't be enough

I am thinking something of sticking with CSN and going Ork Race, with Wall Of buff and some other buffs that I cannot think of right now, you can get a good enough bonus tenacity to compensate for not having MS

can you use bejeweled essence on build 2 or will the feds start chasing you

Sure, but just know that the autoblock wont make it autoparry, and if you miss timed the parry, the feds would be after you

I havent touched any of the bastion armor on this build yet, but stone knight theoretically can work, since block = no stun = no kb with stone knight

The build still work as a standard tank. I usually bring this on an alt as a distractor when I solo wave clear to make it less difficult, especially during dragon waves. As for turtle king, I believe that tanky is just better for the pure defense, more consistence than passive chance to block.

a thing about this tank is that it can solo any bosses, albeit extremely slow, but steady. I usually use this tank as like a support than trying to solo bosses (it takes 20 for frog)

One option is to use sticky ring with a reaper ninja. Taunt + sticky is 2 debuffs, giving you extra 10% dmg on retaliates

Mythical on stacked plates is probably better, as more tenac = more physical defense on rockhare, also idk if more wall of would stack

It would be just 30 minutes of me punching boss at 30 dps on a good day with occasional raindrop, and sometimes take 6 damage from the slam. But I can record and link an unlisted video of this build vs the boss in an actual run with dps players

As a tank, you'd be constantly getting hit so its very common to proc whitsle warrior, which will proc raining

Any race works, but the best ones I found are elf or dragon blooded. Elf allows for more retaliates, dragon blooded for more overall defense

Race doesn't really matter a lot, but if you want to retaliate more often, then sure.

you don't explain what is armor and what is infusion.

it was on purpose to sync with the beat, but the armors without the enchantments are infusions, and the ones with enchants are the ones to wear

For pure tank, only weakness is true dmg and poison/burn, it can be fixed by having spell proof (single or de) on ring and rune for 80% less duration on debuffs For rain tank or icy hot, its fun, but there are better options for its purpose
