This song and video means so much to me. My son struggled with his sexuality since he was in elementary and he finally came to me beginning of highschool. One of the hardest things we did was to tell his dad, but your child is your child and no matter what love conquers all. When my son started drag I would sneak off to see his shows because he was not ready to tell dad, until RKS came along with this song and director Thrash and gave him courage to do it. Yes I was scared, yes I was relieved there was so many emotions of the what ifs but I supported him on this and it was a beautiful thing. Love you Xia Maddix and Love you my husband K.D. And thank you RKS and Thrash for letting my son and husband be a part of something so big and so special! p.s. I love all your music

Watching this nearly 6 years later after Ela came out and started her transition is an extra special experience. I’m so happy and proud she didn’t feel the need to hide herself anymore.

first time hearing this song i remember thinking 'hide your love' felt so relatable to me as bisexual human and then when he got the the 'hes a better kisser than you think mom' i absolutely started to cry like hell and rewinded it so many times bc i was so caught off guard by how overtly gay it was.. now im just finding this video today and crying all over again. whole thing is stupid beautiful

I grew up in Louisiana. This is a testament to the struggle that is still going on in the deep south to this day. My favorite part? When her dad hugged her and said, "Oh, yo titties haaaard!"😆😆😆😆😆 Love you too, dad! I know its not easy, but thanks for loving me and being my biggest fan.

Jonathan Doman I’ve only be doing drag for 3 months, so i was able to worked with Britnee , and have met Audi and Daisy Konfused which they all have been so sweet to me. I havent met the rest of the queens . All the scenes were shot separate and at different times and places . The whole Father scene was unexpected . So it’s definitely an amazing ending to the video

I saw them live in Asheville a few days ago, and the amount of emotion in this song was unlike anything I've ever experienced at a concert. This band is truly something special.

I love this video. It encapsulates one of life's great lessons...on the other side of hate, prejudice, judgement is love, acceptance and beauty so bright, it's blinding

I've been listening to these guys for so long. I took a bus from Chicago to Knoxville just to see them live, and I'm seeing these beautiful babes in a few days at the Metro and I couldn't be more excited. The best thing was to watch them grow, have sold out shows, hear them on the radio. Bands like this who make GOOD music for GOOD reason deserve to have the spotlight and I'm so glad they're finally getting it. Good shit my dudes, GOOD SHIT.

Man this song is just so - I don't even know how to put it - important? Powerful? It's such a perfect message of hope and love and bravery, but I'll be damned if it isn't just a fantasy for far, far too many people. The ability to triumph over your fears and to have that situation go well is just... probably my greatest wish in this world, though I know that ship has already sailed, crashed, and sank. That one line, "I hate you more than I miss you, that's not true I'd hate to miss you" hit me harder than any song lyric ever has. I wish I could hate him more than I miss him, despite how awful a thing that is. I wish I could just think "man what an asshole" and move on with my life but I can't. There is and will always be a black hole in my heart that everything else orbits around, like a galaxy of pain, love, hurt, hope, and hate. Always that need to hide my love, without letting it slip away.
