Rainbow Environmental Services Pendpac Compilation

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

A mashup of the first generation Rainbow's automated residential fleet, now long since retired due to age and with Rainbow selling to Republic Services in 2014. Some of the first automated trash trucks I had ever seen up close and eventually recorded way back in my middle school days. Put together for you is all of my remaining video of the old fleet of 2007 CCC LET2 / Pendpac Alley-Gator side loader garbage trucks. Similar concept to shadofax96's compilations of their old manual side loader fleet. Not including 187-191, these trucks were all purchased upon Rainbow's conversion to automated collection in 2007. 195 thru 209 were all identical units with the exceptions of: 194, 200, 203 and 210. Those latter four being oddballs. While 211 through 222 were all Amreps.
There will still be another video or so to come; until then, sit back and enjoy the first round of this Pendpac compilation. This may bring up some nostalgia to some of the older KZreadrs watching, as it brought a ton to me as I was putting this all together. Comments, likes, etc. are all greatly appreciated. And we can never forget, to give a huge thank you and shout out to all of the drivers of these trucks for making this all possible.
Filmed December 2016 thru July 2017

CHAPTERS:
0:00 Intro, 197 entering alley.
0:17 189, primarily the beach truck but at times used for residential too. Collecting post-Christmas recycling. Thanks to the driver for taking the extra bags for me.
0:57 196, doing trash. At one point was the regular recycle truck in my neighborhood from 2010 to early 2015. Given it's full Rainbow truck number of 2196 upon a fresh coat of paint in 2016. This was the first of only a few times Rainbow's prefix numbers of "1" for front load, "2" for residential, and "3" for rolloff were displayed on the truck, rather than just on a label inside the cab.
4:02 197 navigating a tight dead-end alley, doing trash. Reminding me of shadofax96's 3 clips from when it was brand new.
5:47 200, one of two Autocar Pendpacs and was definitely kept in better shape than 210 was. Fast forward to when the clips of him were taken, it's still my old greens driver, who did my neighborhood from Fall 2008 until Fall 2010. You'll see that he took it easy on 200 which is likely why it didn't look or sound like it was about to just give up and fall apart like 210. After leaving my "route", he went to this one and did recycle. Fun fact: On this day in particular, there was a problem at the yard (the MRF assuming) and all of the trash & recycle drivers were instructed to do trash first load, and recycle second. Green waste was unaffected.
