Marcy I want to do this tomorrow. Do you wipe your silicone mold with alcohol before doing your pour. I have watched this video so many times and love your colors. This is so amazing.

Is it safe to put food directly in this bowl or more of a decorative item?

I love this, I think I might really try to do this. I have a bunch of alcohol inks already, just need to order the molds and resin and get a shaping bowl. I do have a question, will the finished product go into the dishwasher? Hold hot food?

That is really pretty. Someone else left the piece in the mold so it was easier to get out of the bowl.

That's an option but I find it easier to shape this way and it's quite easy to get it out of the bowl :)

How do you prevent finger prints when “sculpting” these bowls? Which are beautiful by the way❤️

I’m told that alcohol inks fade. How can you prevent that. Is it true! They are so prey! Thank you! I love this! I bought some of your resin and your mold! Can’t wait!

Alcohol inks by nature are not lightfast. They being said, not all alcohol inks are created equal and some are better than others. Whether the inks fade, depends largely on the redlsin you use, some have no UV protection and some have maximum UV protection. When working with alcohol inks I recommend using resin with maximum UV protection and keeping them out of direct sunlight. :)

I just did the same bowl, but, something weird happened! The inks I used didn’t cure in the resin, it was sticky! And it stained the mold very badly. It took almost 9 hours for me to take it out and form it, and half of it was still tacky! I’m guessing the inks were the wrong kind. I’ll try again! 😮😊
