That was funny Brody. "It matches the door" made me laugh out loud.
Makes me feel so much better watching y'all "Carpend". Lol
Brody is right, you need to paint the upstairs. I remember when Dougo got the utv stuck. Thanks for the video
Mr. Clean, aka Brody, is my kind of guy. Organized, particular & clean. Hope the rain missed you. Love from TX.❤
Always nice when you have a guy on the crew who pays attention to cleaning things up. Networking, it's the guy who does the panel cross connects really close, labels and cleans up all the crap that gets ignored when lacing up... string, zipties clips etc... totally different walking into problems when things are clean ...
Put a bead of silicone clear caulk along the joint at the floor and if there would be a water leak, that will help keep the water out of the joint and keep it from soaking into the plywood.
Thanks for another great video Chet. It was interesting and enjoyable. Lots of busy work type jobs to do while it is too wet in the fields. Nice work on the office on the second level of the grain shack. You all did great work on all the busy projects. Thanks to all of you. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
I can never miss an upload by Chet. What I like is around 30 minutes. My family's farm was by Montevideo
Always run your sheathing horizontally and stagger the joints. Adds more strength and is easier to install.
These video's really make me smile. I truly enjoy watching the events of Larson Farms. The fact that everyone is on the other side of the world just makes it all the more interesting and educational. The sense of hunor that everyone has is great to hear.
You should have laid those sheets of Osb down horizontally and staggered the joints for stability. I'm just making an observation

Lay sheets horizontal and you use three sheets no cuts.
Awesome video Chet. I'd almost bet that Eric has had that side-by-side stuck at least 3 times. 🤔🫣🙄 🚜🚜🚜
Best seal for that door is outside garage door stripping. Really works nice and doesn't have anything to do with the operation of the door.
Happy Birthday to the Big Swede!
4 guys upstairs.....awesome to see that storm induced project mostly complete!
This video is so short I have to look down to watch it all the way through several times.
Hey Chet, take a weather strip that you put on the outside of garage doors on the used door.
Keep farming,give up carpentry 👍👍👍

How many farmers does it take to improperly install 16 sheets of osb paneling? Well, we now have our answer. Love the content Chet keep it coming
Great video Chet ~ Hope it stops raining ~
Good stuff guys
You guys are.always having fun.. That is great to see.
I bought my Ranger one year ago and I have well over 4000 miles on it!!!!! I LOVE THIS THING!!!!!
Even doing basic jobs you guys always entertain.
Great awesome video guys . Not hard to cut those angles , very easy
2100 miles is a lot to me. I only put 2700 on my pickup truck last year. Of course I just drive it around and to town and back. Hope the rain slows down for you to get you crops in.
Appreciate the realness in your content, it's like a dose of authenticity
It helps on the synthic rope winches to unspool it till the red marking and then stretch it as you wench it in.
Good mother of all trades! Millrights and field wizzards! Keep up the good work !!
Is Dougo going to trim out the windows and door frame up stairs? He was so good at the upstairs in the shop.
Hey, a tip from a carpenter. Set the saw blade to the depth of your material. This will save on kickbacks.
So Brody has a place away from the baby to get some rest!
Screw on a strip of rubber roofing around the inside edges of the door to seal it using fender washers and self tapping screws
Thanks Chet and crew for the content. That door with the uneven gaps is telling you that door or the building is out of plumb(leaning). I might diagnose that before sealing the gaps. Same with mystery wall cracks that are big on one end and dis-appear on the other. Looking at that hogbarn door from the inside I'd say the top of the wall and/or the door frame moved right.
Hi chat they actually sell seals that you can screw on from the outside that seals very good
Looks like a union job to me!
Chett, get a length of garage door trim that you use for sealing up over head doors. Put it on the outside on the knob side of the door. It will seal up the side gap.
That's not plywood, that's osb, which should never get wet.
"Do you smell that?" I think Dugo is back on the reefer.
Great Video Once Again Boys 🤘🏻
Good to see more of BS! Glad you got done with corn!
Are we just gunna ignore the beautiful Cummins in the shop?
Great job Chet Eric Broodie Jordan great job on the room over the bin control room guys
Brody…take several cross ties or large timbers and space them apart to drive the skid steer up on to elevate it for cleaning. Works awesome when you have a ton of mud in the tracks.
That’s basic level carpentry, but I realize I’m a carpenter of 50 years. Get a cheap track saw and have fun. Those complicated cuts are usually done with a chalk line and a 7-1/4” circular saw. A corded saw or cordless. As much cutting you need to do, a cordless will be fine. Good luck 🍀

I have the cordless 36v makita track saw with a 55 and 120" rail. I attach my cordless makita vac to the saw and it uses Bluetooth to activate the vac so you don't have to manually turn the vac on everytime. It's well over a thousand dollar set up but I'm a trim carpenter so it's necessary.

Chet, knows best!!!
You have that old 70's(?) FORD that if you put the BIG money for a 4X4 into, could nave a modern drive train, be 4X4, and be unstoppable.
Y'all need a track saw and a sheet of pink rigid insulation for breaking down plywood. So much easier. I have a Kreg and love it. There are nicer ones but the Kreg is good enough for most things.

@@jeffb321 I got one this last year. Such a huge difference. It cuts better and faster set up.
That’s not plywood it’s OSB. Good job Larson Farms. Dougo for President!
Man I was just thinking I know he explained some time ago why they built the second level but I just couldn’t remember and then you show up with an explanation!
Every building we built I put 24 inch strip of poly at the bottom of every inside wall instead of ply. Makes the possible water basically a nonissue.
nice ride along
Awesome video guys.thank you
God bless the ole 3.8 in those Buicks
Thanks for another sweet video

Watching Ryan Hall Y’all, major storms rolling up thru Minnesota. That’s the LAST thing you, Zach & the rest of the farmers up there need. Iowan farmers too have had a really bad tornado season. Praying you’re ok.

Chet, you should talk about your special tires on your Ranger. Thanks.
great video
Not sure why you used that table saw? Sounded like you were burning the wood instead of cutting it.
My 2021 Polaris Big Boss's winch went out under warranty also.
I love watching Chet do carpentry
Best skid steer is a TL12, very dependable and very good
Hey Chet, nice eye protection when you are on the table saw. But, no worries , eye patches are back in style. ARGH
no thats a pretty healthy mileage on a side by side . I got a 2024 1000 Northstar Ultimate. in September it's just crossing over onto 1600 miles. But the miles of fence and chasing cattle is on a whole other level.
Love the vids
The boys taking turns with the saw
Team Larson ! Lets Go !
I have a vacuum truck and a wash truck that work together. We use a zero tip on the pressure washers to cut up hard ground and make a slurry to vac. We had a guy a few years ago shoot himself in the foot with a zero tip and it went through his foot and was out of work for a couple of weeks.
That's one lethal power washer
Chet I have to agree with you I thought that we did not need a side by side now we have one don't know what we did without it
2 "C" clamps and a 4-foot straight edge = NO table saw. No carrying plywood all over the farm to the new room, and beyond. lol
20 3/8. Marked with a sharpie. Now that's precision... No carpenters pencil needed.
Love it
we got a Honda side by side in 2016 now we have 5 of them on a little farm
set up a cut table you can draw and cut on; the other guy is up the ladder measuring and calling down right-angle, base, and hypotenuse lengths. 30 minutes and both ends are done.

Chet I see you guys don’t use a claw hammer for carpentry.
I got a 2014 Polaris Sportsman ATV that I bought with 2,600 miles on it and I paid 2,500 dollars, in 2019 and now it has 26,788 miles on it and I do all my own work on it
Your toy boxes must be getting full by now lol
I have a 2014 Polaris Sportsman 570 EFI with under 500 miles on it and approx 130 hours if you need a good used 4 wheeler.
Hopefully you have some ventilation in that room. Humidity could swell that OSB ( oriented strand board).
LOL good job
You could put a jam on the outside of the door frame on the latch side ,just leave a very small gap between the door and the jam to allow the door to close, that way you will not have a gap on the latch side
Plywood is made from sheets of wood glued together. Chipboard board is chips glued together. A particle board is a sawdust-like material glued together. FYI
so is this Sitcom and actual real life grain farm? if so thats even better
Yep that fridge needs to go up in the new space🐀🐀🐀🐀
Good teamwork and tag work with the shed build. Brody is a CLEANING MACHINE! I love your “recycled” hog barn door seal.

Subscribers are asking if you drink heavily on Rain days? The videos are funny as hell. Seems like a plan to me anyway.
As a carpenter i was not impressed 😅😅😅 ive never seen anyone cross cut a full sheet of OSB on a table saw. You could just rip the sheet and its twice as less work.
