Directed by: Orie McGinness

Lyrics:
No doubt I’ve done this to myself
The more you know
The more you know
And I just can’t quit if you couldn’t tell
I’ve seen it all
I’ve seen it all
And at night I beg myself to put this all to rest
While I wrestle with these demons pressing on my chest
Am I a fake
Am I a fraud
And is it worth losing you for
Another pain
I can’t ignore
Another morning on the floor
I take the blame
I wanna change
But I can’t settle the score
Now I’m a slave to better days
And I’m not willing anymore
I had a dream that I was drowning everyone I’ve ever loved
I’m feeling heavier despite my hollow soul
I’m feeling anxious now, it’s swallowing me whole
And at night I beg myself to put this all to rest
While I wrestle with these demons pressing on my chest
Cold water running down my face
Just let it go
Just let it go
But there is no mending what I can’t replace
I should’ve known
I should’ve known
Am I a fake
Am I a fraud
And am I worth losing you for
Now I’m gutted to the core
Like I’ve never been before
I’m feeling heavier despite my hollow soul
I’m feeling anxious now, it’s swallowing me whole
And at night I beg myself to put this all to rest
While I wrestle with these demons pressing on my chest
Now it’s sinking in
Thick skin is wearing thin
Out of my mind
And it won’t come as any surprise
And I’ve paid for it this time
I’m feeling heavier despite my hollow soul
I’m feeling anxious now, it’s swallowing me whole
And at night I beg myself to put this all to rest
While I wrestle with these demons pressing on my chest
I’m feeling
I’m feeling
I’m feeling heavier
I’m feeling
I’m feeling
I’m feeling heavier

Actually now that I've put alot of thought into it, that was a rude comment of me. I can't understand Johnny's position. I just see frequently that hes in awesome bands (or makes mediocre bands awesome) and is constantly parting ways due to drugs and bad behavior. I feel bad for him if addiction is throwing his opportunities away. As an always Johnny Craig fan, I hope he gets the helps he needs. At the same time, Slaves is still fantastic and I hope they blow the scene up

He doesnt get the help he needs, theres just no way! There no room for him to breathe i imagine. Nobody will know tho! Music is expression and we are hear to listen to and relate. The reason i admire Johnny is his persistence given how horrible his life probably is. We as humans get stuck in cycles seeing as its the only we live. Johnny is an incomparable vocalist and I didn't think that I would still love you guys. Johnny has a great voice but Matt has taken this incredible band to new, positive levels and they’re only going to keep going up. Matt’s voice is unparalleled to me because you can really FEEL and hear the passion with every word, every note. He’s not just singing, it’s much more to him than that and that’s art. That’s what draws people in. ❤️

My travel to get here is interesting and a bit winding. So I had the song Blower's Daughter in my head from one of my fave movies Closer. I forgot the meaning of it so while looking it up the Bio said Matt McAndrew did a cover on The Voice. I checked it out....CHILLS to the max! So checked out Matt's bio and that led me to Slaves. Very excited to have found this band!!!

Honestly, Matt did an amazing job and im super thrilled to see what new content they produce for us. They're using this song and the merch that came along with it as a way to raise money to help those who struggle with substance abuse. They could've shit all over Jonny but they're rising above the petty bullshit to do some good, and I think that's awesome. It is super ironic haha

Jonny wasn’t kicked out because of a drug issue. He was kicked out because he, once again, chose drugs over his band and left the band without a vocalist less than an hour before a month long UK tour. I don’t blame them for letting Jonny go.
