Wow, wish I had an attic like that - I would just curl up with a blanket and read! If I could just have my cat back (he died ten years ago) and cuddle up with him... paradise! What more does one need!

Linda M. Dyer - you are right. Folks have been telling me for ages to give a rescue kitty a loving home. I haven't felt ready all these years as I miss my cat too much, but I'm now starting to think about it. It would be perfect - I could give some poor kitty that didn't have the best start in life a loving home, I'm experienced with cats, and I could have a kitty again. I'll look into that.

Many,many years ago, I was a driver for a Chicago messenger service. Often during early spring or fall, when it was cool enough to require a jacket and rain would be falling, I would find an out of the way parking spot in late afternoon after my deliveries. I would sit there listening to the radio, waiting for dispatch to release us for the night. The drumming of the rain and the coolness of the air would often cause me to doze for the final 15 minutes or so. Memories.

When I was a kid, on a rainy day, if I was quiet my Mom always knew where to find me. She would go up to the attic and I would be curled up asleep on an old cot that was up there. It was so peaceful and relaxing.

I love warm, muted colors, dark hues and candlelight, the sound of rain beating against the window pane, a hot drink, rugs on the floor, all keeping me safe and snug.

A few months later and I'm still going back to this cozy attic. I must have been here half a dozen times. It's so lovely. Thank you for creating this!

It's definitely one of the better ones. The picture is great, but the sound is perfect also. A lot of rain videos are too busy or the sound is muddy or too much high frequency hiss, etc. This is really nice. Also the rain hitting the window is a nice balance to the roof sounds.

This is my kind of weather any time of the day when it gets sort of dark. But I enjoy the contant heavy rain when I snuggle in bed to sleep. Thanks for this video, I see myself sitting in that sofa looking at the rain tapping on the windowpane.

rain plus wind plus a cosy setting and a cup of coffee and a nice big box of thorntons choccy's ,add a warm duvet to cwtch under and a film to watch like planes,trains,and automobiles,or any john candy film,equals heaven for me.

I suffer from chronic insomnia. THIS IS THE VERY BEST AMBIENT SOUNDS AUDIO/VIDEO THERE IS! It perfectly captures the sounds of a rain and wind...as a child I hung laundry in our attic on stormy days! No candle, though! Just a bare light bulb! Thank you for the upload, New Bliss. I am relaxing, reading or falling asleep to to all your great videos.

I count myself fortunate because my bedroom is much like the one pictured. I love to doze while listening to the rain on the roof. I have two bookcases stocked with esoteric titles like "The Life of Elder Barsanuphius of Optina", "The Visconti Hours" and "NMR Studies of the Bile Salt-Lecithin Mixed Micelle"--a perennial best-seller.

I am sitting in my rooftop attic which is very similar to the one on the picture and am listening to the sounds of nature and of the rain outside on a quiet Sunday afternoon. The illustration of this room is so amazing with all the little details like the books on the shelves and on the floor, the candle lights and light effects, as well as the pouring rain and its sound. This is such a masterpiece! I can’t get enough looking at it and listening to the calming sounds of the rain while cuddling with my cute little black cat in my wooden bed. 😻 🛌

Well, after looking at all these ambiences, I choose this one under the roof with the rain beating down. What's outside the window for you? I see a narrow, winding cobbled street of a port town, not far up from the wharves, with ships at anchor. Could be Nantucket, or some little harbor in Wales or Cornwall. And the smell of the chowder and fresh bread is wafting up from downstairs.

i see tall pines and rain turning to snow, I hunt with bow. caribou and bear for food.

This is a wonderful attic where I could read a book, enter the daily drivel in my journal or just go to sleep to the sound of the wind and the rain on the window and roof. It sounds kind of sleety against the window, which makes the atmosphere even cozier. What a wonderful hideaway.

Very Relaxing place to be. My attic would probably look like that!Thank you for caring. I wish we Montanans would receive thunder and lightening again.I miss it. Thank God for both rain and thunder and lights in His skies.

This reminds me of the attic flat (illegal!) I rented whilst at uni in 1972-73. The stairs were a bit much, but worth the effort once you got inside. I slept on a horsehair upholstered daybed with a view out the only window. The only problem with this pic is that I'm a neat freak and simply can't relax until the books are off the floor and on the shelf! My cat, Sir Chaps, should be curled up on the cushion.

I think the thing for me that really does it is the concept of time pausing. Not wasting any time, but not doing anything important and not having anything to do, for as long as this could last.

In spring , Cherry blossoms in full bloom everywhere toin the towns , parks and on the banks of various rivers . In autumn , the chrysanthemum blooms large flowers ( 20〜30centimeters ) everywhere . Mountains , forests and streets are gorgeous with orange , red and brown colored leaves . Tokyo is autumn . I am listening to Debussy,s works while hearing the sound of insects at night . Thank you for this. I live in stupid Phoenix, AZ. Basically living in a moncromatic 120F parking lot. A lot of rain videos sound like frying bacon. Suppose it could mean I need better speakers. The wind blown rain, with the harder drops too, is nice.

Lovvvve! The rain and wind are perfect rythem... so realistic, so peaceful, the candles give just the right lighting to relax and read before dozing off.

I have a attic like this I live up in the mountains where there’s usually snow blocking my door and what I do is get my dogs to the attic and we chill up there and just fall asleep listening to music all cozy

I love the visuals of the rain going past the window and the candles flickering. Very nice!

This reminds me of old times..for example: I used to live on a farm growing up. I would work a lot out the field helping herd the cattle and sheep. My red heeler and I running through the field to get to the animals. And when it began to rain during the fall or spring, I would have to get my jacket on and run out, going bare foot to feel the mud and thick grass on my feet as I ran. Getting them in the barn was the best..the soft but quick patter of the rain on the roof and on the puddles was so calming. I would often lay there and doze off for hours on end. Waking up to realize I missed school and or I slept a majority of the day and smell like a cowpie..ugh the memories
