In this video, we'll be taking you through the process of linen backing and restoring a "Raiders of the Lost Ark" one sheet movie poster.
🔍Process:
Linen backing a poster is a common technique used for preservation and protection. Our process involves washing the piece and mounting the poster onto a durable linen canvas with an acid-free barrier paper and fully reversible adhesive. By providing structural support and preventing further damage, linen backing extends the poster's lifespan, ensuring it can be enjoyed for generations to come. Restoration is then performed using fully reversible mediums to reach our client's desired outcome.

Raiders of the lost Ark is my favorite. This is a fun contest.
I gotta admit, when she started soaking that gorgeous poster with those solutions over and over again I about had a heart attack!
The archeologist Dr. Jones would be proud of the work you do. The original is always the best.
Raiders of the Lost Ark has the gnarliest/best scene where "the villains" faces melt off. Had to have motivated people to join special effects and film. And a few nightmares. Favorite Indiana Jones.
The original Raiders is my favorite because it was so fresh to my then 18 year old eyes. I have enjoyed them all, but The Last Crusade and The Dial of Destiny are close seconds. I was also a big fan of the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles. One of my favorite film series ever, and a big part of why I wound up an editor and worked on the board of a film festival.
"Raiders of the Lost Ark" is amazing. But I will have to say "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" is my favorite. Much more character and tension. Love watching your videos, thanks.

Raiders of the Lost Ark, saw it at a preview before it came out... life was forever changed.
The OG Raiders of the Lost Ark is still the best. Funny, but still dark in ways the others don’t quite hit in the same way.

Last Crusade just based on the nostalgia. That’s the one I grew up watching the most.

My favorite Indy movie IS Raiders of The Lost Ark. it was the first VHS my parents put on the night they purchased our first VCR at circuit city in Torrance CA. It’s also one of my parents fav to this date 🙏🏼🥲 I still remember the feeling I felt of curiosity at the intro of this movie. It’s one of the Indy movies we still sit and bond with when my parents visit.

Raiders of the Lost Ark is a life changing film for me. It's the whole reason I love film. I first saw it as a 10 year old boy. We lived up the street from the movie theater, The Eric 5, in Allentown, PA. I would walk home from school and go see the matinee every day. Just a kid, with a bowl of popcorn, getting lost in the images on the screen. It's priceless!!!! Amazing work you are doing at fourth cone, preserving film history and the moments that transport us.
When I was a kid, the very first Indiana Jones movie I watched became my favorite immediately. Ironically, it’s also Raiders of the Lost Ark!

So many good memories watching Temple of Doom. Indiana Jones is one of those characters that captures so much of what we dream of as kids.
Raiders for sure, but Last Crusade is a close second. Temple of Doom will always have a warm place in my heart for giving 8-year-old me nightmares for months. And that’s it. There are 3, and ONLY 3, Indiana Jones movies. I keep hearing rumors of others but surely that’s not true? 😂

Raiders of the Lost Ark changed me. At 16year old, I saw it 11 times in the first year. I have an original “Standee” advertisement the theatre gave me because they knew so well. It now could use some love & restoration.
