That was the very first RAID content creator video I ever watched when I started playing. My son basically forced me to start playing this game back when the Foli fusion event was happening. I didn't even come close to fusing him and I really wasn't totally sold on the game. If my son wasn't constantly on me to progress, I would have bailed on it early on. The first lego I pulled was Martyr and I remember not being impressed. My son told me to watch this Chosen video and that's when I realized the best champ in the game was on my roster. Fast forward to today... I still play the game, my son quit 2 years ago, I have probably 5 Martyrs right now and still use her for Faction Wars. Definitely brought back memories!! Thanks for making this vid!!

I think Zavia was the first legendary I pulled when I first started around 2 years ago, haven't really used her even then.

Martyr was my 2nd lego and 1st booked. She carried me through most of the early days and funnily enough still sits top of my roster (empower and blessings make her top on the sort). Find her useful in stone skin with fenax in 3v3 team. She applied counter attack and fenax goes to work with his A1

I recall people saying Martyr was so OP that she did SO much, that people thought she'd get nerfed

Back in the day ash, remember this was back in the day... I remember, tks for bringing the og's,(big, big tks for all the brave youtubers) oldy og's but never the less, still BIG...

this is even before my starting point in the game :) I started within the Rotos fusion. YES. This guy was a fusion EDIT: Comparions like this provide a bit of context/history and might bring up some ideas to use OGs or buffed OGs for current stuff. I like this. At least to activate some fond(?) memories

Interesting video. I always liked Sethalia, probably because she was my first Legendary Champ. On another note... I was redoing some Gear yesterday and thinking they should put out a Gear set that allows Revive as an option. That would be an interesting addition and give a nice boost when creating teams.

I started back then but didn't play a month. I was a little hard on Raid because i was playing SW but I remember this video. Would love to see what i missed over the years.

Ahhh summoners war haha halfway through my first week I was like ok so this is just 100% sw clone. And then I sold every artifact I had without speed subs 😂

I Would say Rae is one of the most important Characters on my Account, she hits like a truck and is a hard counter to Leo and Skullcrown if you give her soul reap and you still see a ton of them in Arena especially 3v3. She a 9s 12-3 farmer aswell. She toasts the early levels of Cursed city solo even on Hard. and with 6+ Slayer set she absolutely smacks.

Hey ash, do you have a visionary guide? Was looking for it on your other channel. Also you need to put them in alphabetical order so it's easy to find champions lol love you bro!! Your the best content creator

I remember these days, back when Executioner was considered great as well. With Lego's, due to the cost to pull ratio being so high, each Lego should have at least one area where they can be a star. Even if it's just one dungeon out of all of them, where they counter, or are immune to, boss mechanics. This also includes knowing how.to build a team around certain champs - like a designated go second PvP style champ, where you have to strategise who they are with but have high success rates if you get it right.

Rae in 9 piece slayer is one of my best champs. my main arena nuker and has value everywhere.

Zavia is insane for progression, I pulled her early and used her in Arena, all the dungeons, anything with waves, anything with bosses, even after four years in she's still probably my most used champ although obviosuly she's been replaced in some areas, I still use her a lot.

Love the throwback comparison. Very interesting. I started just before Foli and I remember St Nick came the Xmas before Foli. My first Lego was Kymar according to Plarium .. though I thought I got Abbess and Sethalia before him. 2 terrible Legos back then. Still middling at best.

Sethallia is one of my most used champs, Still in my main arena team, the buff strip and tm boost is great, massive heal on 2 turn cooldown and burn on A1 mean she can solo some doom tower bosses as well. (I use her over some pretty crazy champs, she is easy to build to be effective.)

Started playing around the time a tournament was happening to win Fayne 2021 i think? Felt so thwarted for not winning her but soon after pulled Sir Nicholas and thought freeze was OP 😂

I briefly played Raid when it was new... I had never gotten a single legendary in the 3 months (logins excluded, if there were logins, can't remember) I played. I started playing again in Feb 2024

Ash is the new fusion worth it? I have never tried for a fusion and I'm free to play. I've amassed alot of resources to be able to pursue one, wondering if this is the one to go for? Or if I should test my patience and save

Prince Kymar was my first legendary 4 years ago. He has only gotten better with time.

well im rather new and got her on my first day. she is on my main team XD Adelyn as leader. then martyr and turrox , temptress and juliana. good enough to do the twins , sand devil , and run trough the campaign on brutal

I believe Martir was so far above Valkyrie because party-wide Increase Defense was the god buff that you needed in your teams. This was when Defense champions were the real heavy lifters. + She has decrease atack and decrease defense (big version). That was huge back then. Also, shields back in the day just weren't seen as the best option.

Your insights are appreciated since you're one of the OG players. Bring on more reviews with the Rares/Epics and even uncommons/commons 😂

I still use Martyr to wreak PVP Gold III in live arena. Everyone underrates her and loses. Marty was my original campaign farmer. Still one of my top 10 heroes.

They should have a prism crystal event where you can pick up all the fusions going back to the beginning so late players have a chance of getting them .

I would like to know if you see some that has changed a lot. I saw Ithos was fairly a long way down and I think he is more towards to top today.

I started playing raid last December and zavia was my first legendary. I didn't expect that back in the days she was a Top tier champion 😱😎🤣

I've thought along the same lines as you. They should rework some of those OG champs. Now I Pulled a UDK the other day and ngl I was a little bummed. Just bc hes not the meta nowadays. So everytime we pull shards I feel like most of us hope for one of the newer fusions from Gnut to now. All I get is older champs and its underwhelming to say the least. Who needs 5 Grohaks? Who need Astralith and Wurlim Foreskin😂 oh excuse me Frostking. Just makes it less appealing than ever to spend is all I'm trying to say.

Bombs should scale off Max HP of the target + Attack value of the placer. Each bomb doing 1% Max HP of the target + the attack value of the champ placing the bomb. With no crits possible.

Pretty sure valk got buffed and she used to be worse than skullcrusher for counter attack. (I think her counter was 4 or 5 turns originally)

I miss Chosen lol helped me through so much early on

Astralith is underrated, surely she has received buffs after this video went live right? I mean, her kit is not bad. Tyraku made a video where he pairs her with Tuhanarak (you can use Vizir too). Astralith destroys stoneskin teams.

Maybe just me but I thought sethallia was a great debuffer and healer. Dunno if she got buffed but I really like sethallia

"Worst champion in the game is Astralith." I have 4 of those, making the dark elves the only faction with 2 legendary guardians. And I summoned 3 of those in same month.

Pulled 3 void shards today during the CvC, and got Marichka 😂

They should buff my babe, Lysandra. She was my first leggo and i basically never knew any classic arena other than gold. an absolutly busted champ to give to a little lvl20 account and from then on, i feel like the game only gives me pvp champs...and i hate pvp

Not until 8 or 9 months after this. She wasn't in the first year of Raid. Maybe 13 - 15 months after Raid released.

Bystophus is much better since his buff, not to say i would be mad about a second buff.

Not every champ needs to be the best, but they should all serve a purpose.

This is almost a year before Duchess released. Foli fusion was in the first 4 or 5 months of Raid, July 2019 (I think). Duchess wasn't introduce until Raid had been out for well over a year.

@@samrester6254 so I did start to play during the second year of Raid. I thought it was earlier. I got my Duchess pretty early (in the first 3 or 4 months), then I took long break from Raid when Tormin or Cillian fusion ended

Rae would still get play if her cool downs weren't so brutal. They need to take those down.

Hell I think a lot of these CCs could take a lesson from Chosen and eliminate all the lead up to the videos. I swear to God I have to skip at least 30% of most videos with all the filler that is so unnecessary.
