@@Andreweoliver The player we are watching, Ramses, got the debuff that AOE dmg's the raid nearby. You can actually see it with DBM with the skull over his head, so he had no excuse.

@@Andreweoliver this was a fight back in Ulduar of WOTLK, I honestly don't remember the mechanics to the SLIGHTEST. Based on the comments below, there was a buff that would get applied to someone, and that player would have to move away from the raid otherwise they would pull people within a certain range to them and deal a massive amount of damage. I can tell you one thing I DO remember... BERDERP BOOP

I was in the raid, you can't even hear the best part in this video; at first Ramses starts yelling at whoever fucked up then he realizes it was him and softly says "it was me?" and then people starting tearing into him. It was priceless. It doesn't play in the video though because his own vent wasn't recorded.

XT gives random raid members (not the highest aggro though) a Gravity Bomb debuff. If you have it, you need to move away from the raid, otherwise you pull everyone into a Black Circle of Doom that deals heavy "stand in the fire" type damage. Ramses did exactly that, and melted half the raid instantly.

My guild leader was 15. In our guild's first Molten Core raid, he disappeared to get laid. We also only wiped once, on Rag at 5%, despite half of us never having raided before. He was a god.

What I was supposed to follow up with in the former comment was, our GM was a high as a kite dude, but the best damn leader you could ever have. He was pretty famous on our server for being a fantastic leader, despite smoking up on every single raid ... and just owning everything. People can be young, high as a kite ... doesn't matter if they know their shit and know how to communicate. Which is GMs most important roles.

I started playing MMOs around 12-14 and Its where I learned adults are fucking mongrels with no sense of maturity.

Everytime this happens to my raid, i just sit and smile, holding my shit to laugh my ass off... its never me that wipes us either, its just fun to hear everyones rage-actions

See those black dots on the floor. When the boss places those on you it comes up as a spell on your character with a timer before the black dot appears. You're supposed to run out and dump the black dot on the floor outside the group so nobody takes damage from it. You can see them lined up behind them were people did it right. He popped his right in the center of everyone and killed the raid.

"Perfect attempt" 20 seconds to enrage. Yeah no.

@@vora320 So, the 'early days' strat in the hard-mode version of that fight, involved everyone stacking for heals, but running out to a predetermined spot to drop their black pool, should they get the debuff that caused it. The raid leader (Ramses) did not run out. He dropped his black pool right on his stacked comrades. The tank (Retort) lambastes him, in true 'Retort-fashion', for this failure. Does that clear it up? I wish I had an audio recording of the first raid we did after the 1st cash-shop mount was added to the game. Retort was in fine form that night. He ranted, non-stop, through two boss fights. I miss him.

3 things. 1 this was hard mode as shown by the boss hp. 2 ulduar was harder than almost any other raid. 3 flame levi was the easiest so clearly u never ran ulduar u scrub. sit down and go back to ur lfr

It was never hard just people just didnt have resources like they do now, so it made it hard. 4 bosses in that raid have less mechs than most bosses of current wow.

This is hardmode people seem to forget. and its pre-nerf. so no its not raging. they had a kill and the person decided that instead of being a team player he would wipe them by dragging the bal into the group to aoe wipe them. to many died because he wanted to be a ass . so it wiped them you're dps/healers being killed off because of a troll on pre-nerf content is pretty serious thing. you do not just randomly decide to run in and wipe the group on progression. he was supposed to kite it away. they had a kill a very clean one that would of also given them every Achv for that boss...sucks

I was in that guild and just before this happens Ramses said softly, it was me? plus Ramses was the Guild Leader, so no, he's not trolling.

Those black circles are being cast on the raid leader so his job is to run around away from the raid so the raid doesn't get caught in them but instead he goes right in the middle and the black circle is placed under everyone.

Some of these kids need to put tens, possibly hundreds of hours into a Diablo 2 or Path of Exile hardcore character and then have it die, then they'd know what true rage feels like.

I did the same thing to my raid during this fight. In my defence, it was my first time on that boss and the experienced players flat-out refused to warn me what to look for. (like just about every raid I've been on lol)

Dropped that massive aoe in the middle of the group instead of placing it the the back where all the other aoe's are. Pretty hilarious.

I never understood why people get so butthurt and angry about wipes, I mean after all you can always run back and try that shit again. If I get irritated I just leave the instance and walk away for a smoke break. People like that cant help but make me think they have an underlying mental issue.

pontarn00 School and video games are not comparable at all. Normal people play video games as a fun time-waster. If you have some friends over and are playing games with them and they keep dying, no one rages. All the death usually leads to funny moments. It's just a video game. However, a lot of MMO players play games as some sort of measure of their self-worth, and thus get butthurt if they're not making enough "progression." I've heard adult men throw tantrums over not winning the dice roll on the level 20 sword they wanted. It's sad. I can't fathom the amounts of rage there will be when the servers shut down and their characters are gone forever.

People calling them out for raging really shouldn't be so quick to judge something they don't understand. You see, WoW is set up in a way that being "fair" and "nice" doesn't always cut it. Think of it as a job. You join a group of people, all who have a goal in mind and are working towards that goal together as a team. (To kill the big boss) You've been recognized to have the skill set to join them, so they trust you to perform properly. ( You're good at your class ). Throughout the job, people make mistakes, learn from it and use that to bring them closer to their goal. ( They get better at killing the boss and die less often ) You don't really care about how the team is doing, you're just here to have fun and get payed. You keep making silly mistakes and not owning up to it, you repeat them even after being educated on how not to do so. Eventually, your leader gets fed up with it and goes off at you. Sure, people shouldn't get angry over nothing. But people in WoW sign up to these groups ( guilds ) on the condition that they be helpful and strive to improve the guild as a whole. If they're purposely being lazy messing things up through sheer lack of commitment, they need to be yelled at or gkicked. If you don't care about the game then you don't belong with a group of people who do. I guarantee this wasn't the first time this guy fucked up that night either. Would you sit there after your employee continuously fucked up and give him a pat on the back like "there there, its ok next time." ?

Really? Id be pissed and anyone who has ever raided with a legit guild knows that it will stress you out and piss you off and that was a fantastic attempt. It took my guild around 90 attempts to take out the Lich King and it was very stressful so don't say its just a game.

I've been in guilds (that I left) that made it FEEL like a job. You show up, you do the same damn thing over and over, you get yelled at, you log off. Repeat next week. I've left a couple guilds for that exact reason.
