You make it back to the Village after the arrival of the First Wave; At least One Hundred Roman Legionnaires Dawning Bright Red and Silver Metal from Head to Toe; A Competitive Edge when compared to your People’s primarily Leather Regalia. But as you watch them fight, you notice how slow they are, how ill-trained they really are. They hack and Slash without true Skill; But where their clear Advantage arises is from their ability to reply to Commands instantly, Forming Shield Barricades that turned them into a Mobile Defense System that allowed them to attack oncoming Foes, but made it nearly impossible for them to be Injured or killed. . You see a young girl of about 10 years run forth from a Wooden structure that was burning from the inside with 2 Roman soldiers chasing close at her Heels; Yipping and Hooting and Hollering at her with pure Joy as they terrorize the “Savage” little girl. Shouting a War Cry, you ready your Long War-Axe, calling upon the Gods and the Beasts of Nature to grant you their Might and Cunning. Taking a deep breath in, you lock eyes with one of the Romans, who has now turned his attention upon you. You slam your metallic Wristguard against your chest piece, taunting him whilst growling; Snarling; Howling to the Heavens, the scent of Blood and Steel and Leather thick upon your Nostrils. . Without delay, you charge the Roman, running straight passed the first who is already prepared and swing your Axe as far as it will reach, smashing it right against the Head of the Roman chasing after the girl. His body rag dolls and smashes against the Earth Mother with violent force, all that Armor working against him. Hearing the clank of Metal, instinct takes over and you jump-spin around to find the first Roman charging you, Body-Shield at the Ready and Gladius pointed straight at you. You smile and roll out the way with ease, like the African dodging an Elephant you once saw as a Sell-Sword in the Egyptian Wars. In the time it takes for you to Roll and stand up, he is just managing to fully turn around, and you use this to your advantage; keeping light on your feet and wearing him out. As you hear his breathing become ragged and forced, you make your move, charging straight at him before rolling to the side, coming up to your knees and feet, and swinging around with all of your possible Might. The Axe head slams right into his Waist, and with a Terrified shout of pain, the Roman crumples to the ground. But it’s not over yet. Romans take No “Savages” as Prisoners, and thus, you do not take an Romans as prisoners either. . They pour forth from the Beaches with such Fire and fury, but they are no match for the Coordinated Might of the Gaelian “Woods Men.” Through Night and Day, Rain and Wind, Snow and Fire; You fight back the Oncoming Storm of the Roman Empire. Pouring forth from their Boats by the hundreds, Nay, the Thousands, as they Tear forth into your Homelands seeking Blood and Steel and Death. As the Front line Warriors dispatch droves of metallic Roman Sulkers, your archers and Spearmen lay into them from the trees and the Side Lines, distracting and Demoralizing them well enough for you and your men to crack their skulls housed within such wasted Material. . The Romans besiege your Village for more than 5 days and 5 nights, but on the evening of the 7th Day, as the Sun begins to set through the Trees, basking the Forest in a Fiery Blaze of Orange Light that only makes you Fight Harder; The Romans finally give up. They run like cowards back to their Boats and disappear across the Waters, and just like that, after a week of relentless Warfare, after hundreds of your Men and Thousands of Romans had been killed, tainting the ground with Red; Silence Falls, and the Battlefield becomes still, filled only with the Cries of Ravens and Mothers as they Feast and Mourn over the Corpses of the Dead.

@@Haydar_isinsane It's from Mad Max Fury Road. Some cultist neo-pagan warriors called "warboys" scream it to pay homage to their godfather Immortan Joe. They believe that if they die fighting for him, they will ride eternal on the highways of Valhalla. Pretty neat concept.

These thoughts crossed Valaar's mind while his face briefly held a smirk in anticipation of a battle he knew would prove his superiority. The giant Doma slowly rose using the hilt of his stone sword as he struggled to keep his balance. His face was expressionless and his gaze was set down below on the body of his beloved. "I have no lust for battle like you. But I will give my all in order to protect the sanctity for which my Aunhar gave up her life. Her will is my will and you'll learn today how fearsome the will of a giant can be". As soon as Doma had finished saying that, Valaar called forth lightning into his hands and projected it in his direction. Doma took the full brunt of it and almost fell again. His movement faltered but he let out a battle cry as he lunged towards Valaar with all his force. The attacks kept coming and he brushed all of them off as if protected by mother Kilaria herself but how long. How long could that continue. Valaar was relentless. Being one of the most powerful Reans, his Elys was too strong. Doma knew the only way he would stand a chance was to get close to him and strike with all his might but doing that was nigh impossible. Yet he continued to press on forward and took his attacks head on. Pieces of burned skin and flesh started to fall off but he didn't slow. Valaar knew what was coming but did not care. He wanted Doma to come to him and hit him with his colossal sword. If he dared. The distance between Sky and Earth lessened as the two beings came ever closer to each other. The moment of truth was almost upon them and Doma finally unleashed all his strength into the one strike he could muster. The sword came heavy on Valaar and as soon as it reached his first hair, his smirk grew wide and a bluish-white light engulfed him. His whole body erupted with bolts of lightning in all directions, tearing through the earth and ripping out the roots of grass and whole trees. "A fine battle but you are too weak. Just like your God, you are just too weak. A shame really. I had high hopes for you. It seems the giants are no more. Your legacy shall die with you... Or will it." Valaar turned around and left the bloody body of Doma against a tree. For all the attacks he took, a normal being would have burnt away in an instant. But his will protected him and that was enough for Valaar to respect. "I hope we don't cross paths again. I might not spare you the next time, old friend." Valaar then made his way and Doma fell into a slumber as he lost consciousness with the fading of Valaar's steps.

The Witcher draws mostly from Slavic folklore. Sure, there are some Nordic and Western influences, but the world is generally built around Slavs

Me: I’m so disappointed Why? It’s a great song. Me: In the people who disliked this video

(I wrote this at 3 am, apologies for the bad grammar.) I like to interrupt your poetry reading under this great mix by telling you that most Viking were farmers and/or traders, Had more woman's rights then a lot of other societies during that time. Also this has been said a lot but no horns on the helmets, For the rest no plate mail (because that kinda sucks when you fall off a boat), although definitely better then the cliché leather they get portrayed in even more so once the raids were under way for a bit. Also we do not know big parts about there culture because we have no detailed first hand records even the earliest ones about them were long after the Christianisation, This is not me wanting to make myself feel superior over the rest, I still have a lot to learn and most of this is just a tldr of some great history channels on youtube. Let's just not over fantasize and praise a culture from many centuries ago without any closer analysis. That is how we got all the 300 mellons talking about Sparta and how peak cliché macho they were despite them using perfumes, having way more woman's rights then Athens and also having looooots of gay time. Which makes them sound better to a lot of people but let me flip it again because a lot of places in ancient Greece (including Sparta) found paedophilia okay, so, yikes. Just be critical about history in a healthy way , not by dispensing crackpot theories but by analysing and coming trough that to sane conclusions or more questions and having fun discussing them with others.
