I'm trying to play Hi-Res Lossless music on Apple's Music app through the USB-C output on my iPad Pro into my amplifier's DAC. But the sound is downsampled to 44.1kHz instead of 96kHz or 192kHz. How do I get full Hi-Res Lossless music from the Music app through USB-C?

That usually isnt the case. Are you sure that the music itself is available in 96kHz or 192khz? When your usually streaming music on Apple music it usually is 44.1kHz / 24 bit.

@@headphone_zone I am not sure about the bit rate, but the led indicator on the DAC shows the lowest bit rate color (blue) on Ipad. while on the iphone, Mac boook or on windows PC for same Apple music account, the color code (purple) for bit rate is higher.

Hello sir i always had a doubt that a lossless audio streams at 1411 kbps and a LDAC codec is capable of streaming upto 990kbps which is quite near to lossless . There is no doubt the wired mode is best . But if hires lossless audio really enhances listening experience as we jump from 320kbps to 1411kbps then how do wireless heapdhones like sennheiser momentum 4 , focal bathys , B&O H95, B&W PX8 with no LDAC codec can sound good ? What is point of good codecs then? And what matters a good codec or heapdhone's tuning??

The answer is simple-tuning plays the most important role here. Good tuning can make wireless headphones like the Sennheiser Momentum 4, Focal Bathys, B&O H95, and B&W PX8 sound excellent even without LDAC. So, while codecs are important, the headphone's tuning often matters more in delivering a satisfying listening experience.

But let's take an example of sony xm4,xm5 ( which I guess they do come with good hardware to produce good sound even with or without LDAC) But if lossless audio streams at 1411 kbps , and all those premium heapdhones (non LDAC) can stream 1/3rd of it that is at 576kbps . Then do really hires lossless audio makes a difference(wireless)???

Great video! I have a question. So I auditioned yesterday mm-100 and focal clear mg, to me mm-100 sounds really "laid-back". I ordered Hifiman Ananda V3 SE. Does Ananda V3 sound better than MM-100? If not, then I'll be disappointed, focal clear mg sounded really good in comparison.

iphone: apple dongle, apple music, IEM - Truthear Hexa or Final E2000 if youre on a budget. android 13 & below doesnt have bit-perfect playback. so the hi-res is downsampled and you loose the quality. to work around it, Tidal has fixed it in android & windows via their official apps. if you need more volume, you can use UAPP and boost it even more. android: apple dongle, UAPP, Tidal not apple, IEM i suggest hexa because i've heard they outperform IEMs double its price. but the signature is very colored. i own E2000 & 7Hz Zero, and I LOVE E2000. It's almost neutral with subtle emphasis on bass, making it punchy, and yet it doesnt overflow into lower mids. its yumm. Highly recommend E2000 for anyone in a budget.
