Wood and Metal are from Chinese Wuxing. The Five Elements are Fire, Water, Wood, Metal (or Gold) and Earth (or Soil). I think they are fantastic inclusions with Tian Xia coming later this year.

Wood and metal have a longer irl history in china than the classic 4 alchemical elements do in europe. It's only new to the old fashioned 4 elements from a eurocentric point of view, so I think this works really well given paizo's increased efforts to broaden the game system beyond purely eurocentric medieval fantasy.

You made mistakes with Elemental Blast: 1. It can be ranged or melee attacks. Melee attacks add STR. 2. That is maximum range like spells, _not_ a range increment. The "make the blast look like weapons" thing gives them range increments.

It is interesting that the elemental rage ability calls out that if you have kineticist impulses with the same element type, those get the rage trait. If I am understanding it correctly, it should allow you to make a barbarian with a decent secondary ranged attack.

There is something confusing. You stated a "normal" turn is channel elements + blast + impulse. Everywhere I read you can just have your aura up at all times. This gives way more flexibility. Just want to clarify in case someone gets confused. This means you can start with your overflow spell.

The Rules Lawyer had a pretty good take. Kineticists don't hit as hard in melee as martials, or burst as high as casters in spells. Instead, they have a group of abilities that give them flexibility between the two extremes. Power-wise, they are near Inventors and swashbucklers.

The kineticist can't break the top end; even the most narrowly single target focused kineticist does less single target damage than a Fighter. This is fine, because that Kineticist's access to AOE and weakness targeting is way better than the Fighter's even with all that investment in single target damage.

I'm going to assume that Holy and Unholy will not actually be that useful. Also find it odd that the rule is referenced in a Book that doesn't even explain what Sanctification is and how to do it. I still do not like the Metal Geniekin being called Talos. That was a Greek Machine, not a being of Metal. Everything else is interesting, but I do not think Sanctification needed to be in this book. Not like they're going to leave it up to Players which Deities Sanctify as Holy or Unholy. I'm more interested in if there are creatures with a Metal Elemental weakness than something with an Unholy weakness. Wouldn't be able to tell what had the latter anyway.

@@bennettkrack9247 The Deity Blocks aren't much different to the way they are already. Plus, what's the actual point? You can have Clerics of them now, but there is no info on Sanctifying. I doubt the new Core Books will have every Deity Released. The only thing that has changed is their Alignment has been switched with a Mechanic I have very low expectations for. I don't even think it will even be useful. Only one, possibly two, classes are even able to use Holy and Unholy. And all they do is modify actions, if the Q&A stuff from the Con means anything. We have no idea how they'll modify anything. It's going to be a special Class Based Mechanic, hopefully it's useful. This isn't even Future Proofing. They did this because they began the Remaster during the Rage of Elements Development. It's just making sure they don't need to add more deities to a table that tells you who Sanctifies in what way. Which I'm 100% sure they'll do, unless they plan on reprinting every Deity in the new Core Books. Holy and Unholy is starting to feel like the Thuamaturge's Chalice. It has the Positive and Healing Traits for the Drain Action, unless the one Draining the Chalice is Undead, then it's negative. People say it's future proofing, and I call BS. Does anyone think Paizo would release a Player option that cannot heal by the majority of Healing Options? The Construct Companion is the only PC related option that can't be healed by any normal option. It must be Repaired. I doubt Paizo would have an Ancestry that could only be healed by that single action.
