Although Kishori tai takes centre-stage here, and her performance of Yaman is truly wonderful, I must also praise the performance of the violinist who so sensitively follows Kishori's interpretation of Yaman and is completely at one with her in spirit. And to add belatedly, the vocal support by Nandini Bedekar is equally striking, not only because of her voice but also because of her deep spiritual connection with Kishori tai which is so clear to see here.

Musicians of Indian classical music constantly experiment in improvisations to discover beauty in various subtle changes in Laya and Sur in their recitals and go on accumulating whatever they feel precious. That makes the music of artists in their seventies very rich in quality and virtuosity. Kisoritai's style in this rendition shows how the modulations in volume and pitch create a profound and soothing ambience. The listeners minds get fully emersed in the experience with attention focused on what comes from her mouth. She is completely involved in her music and listeners get into a trance as long as she sings. Only when the recital ends listeners come out of that state and while the music continues in their mind for some more time the mood is that of experience of something unforgettable makes them thankful to the great artist.

Kishori Amonkar's sad demise is a great loss to the Hindustani classical music which can't be filled in times to come ,our heart felt tributes & prayers to God to put his soul in complete rest & peace,also to give courage to her family to bear this irreprable loss.

Mo man lagan laagi tumisan kripa nidhaan adham udaaran lagan laagi Kishori Ji is simply the best at all the ragas ! Though Kishori Tai's Bhoop is her signature, I think her Yaman, Kedar, Bihag are no lesser. In fact, all the ragas are just wonderful !
