07:02 - I see a happy father! 😊 There's your Happy Father's Day right there. 👍 edit: p.s. Rory Charles Graham (aka Rag'n'Bone Man) is English and about the closest he is to having a black wife is having been born in E. Sussex and Harry and Meghan are the Duke and Duchess of Sussex; so, degrees of separation. 😆

@@alexhumphreys5243 I can see how the song can speak to the hosts in a way they may assume he is from the American south. I’m from Canada’s west coast on the Pacific Ocean. I’m white and yet I see things in this song relevant to me. It is good and universal. Its for all people about all people - equally, regardless of backgrounds. As it should be. It’s ok they thought he was American. In a way all of us Rag n Bones Man fans wish he was ours.

Here in England, a rag and bone man is someone who comes down your streets on horse and cart to collect your scrap. Usually in metal form, to sell. They actually sing “rag and bone” as they come down your street to announce their presence. Still happens to this day.

About the 7 minute mark, kiddo is getting it. This song owes a *lot* to old black spirituals and "chain gang" rhythm-keeping songs. You can hear a big gospel influence in there, too. The beat chugging along is just solid. That's a beat you can't move. It's beautiful.

I get exactly what Jojo was talking about- early Rhythm and Blues from the 1910s and 1920s. And he was bang on about the time too. Obviously, from that early Rhythm and Blues, there was a split to blues, then that went to rock and roll (and then on to metal). And then there was also gospel and what we now think of as R&B. And this song combines a lot of all of those influences. He has the soulful bluesy voice, with elements of gospel, and early Rhythm and Blues. Your boy was spot on, and he should be proud.

The "chain" sound reminded me of movies I've seen of slaves that were locked in the bottom of the ships, shackled together and all they had was to sing. Eerie feeling but beautiful song.

I have watched this particular video many times 😁. The song is epic. So is your family. Thanks again 🌼. It makes me happy. The face of a good man filling with joy as he sees more proof that his children will have better lives. My interpretation of course. But it’s certain y’all dug it as I did 😁 I came here to say Thank you for sharing ! Happy trails

I like this song as it reminds me of the old addage "when you point, there are 3 fingers pointing back at yourself " All I can say is help more people even if just once a day.
