Using a Bow under water with iron arrows is best for hunting the puffer fish. less chance for them to explode and keep safe distance.

You are one hundred percent correct. Every animal has a rare variant. Thank you so much for your support. I am going to post this so that anyone who reads will know as well. Goat normal is black. Goat rare is purple/white. Very rare goat is white. Clucker normal is blue, clucker rare is white, rarest clucker is red Llama normal is brown, llama rare is brown and white, llama very rare is zebra. I do have all of them. They take FOREVER to get. You have an 8% chance of getting the rare animals and a 4% chance of getting the rarest.

Thanks for this great tutorial. I just started building my radio to I can start finding the big islands, and this is just the information I was looking for to help me figure out my next steps.

One thing I think they should change is that because pufferfish is so rare in early game, players should be able to pick up missed net canisters like missed arrows. I mean it's just there lying on the ground...

yes I can see that, the biggest thing that I wish that they would change in the game is bowls and glass cups. whenever you eat a meal the bowl disapears and so does the glass cup.

I like your farm. I'd add a tree for shade. but it's a nice setup. Maybe add bees?

there is no number for animal island. when you have the reciever it is the green dots not the blue ones. when you put in a number for one of the main objective islands on your receiver you will see that some green dots pop up. they are one of two. one is an animal island and the other is the bear smaller islands.

It's easier to kill pufferfish with a bow and arrow than a spear. 3 metal arrows or 4 stone ones.

How do you find your way back to the animal island if you've already visited? You mentioned you can go back and visit whenever so I'm assuming there's an easy way to find it. I'm there right now and I need to leave and come back to respawn the pufferfish because I let them all explode but didn't harvest anything from them (I didn't know I could). I've only been playing the game for two days so I'm super new.

you have to get on your raft and leave the area and find a new animal island. You have to use the reciever to find a new island. they will appear as green dots on the reciever. you go to a new one. if you leave and try to come back it won't respawn. its best to find a new one. it will take some time.

How many grass should there be per animal to feed them without them starving to death? Them eating "a lot" isn't a good quantification in terms of planing animal expansions. While I had the luck to land on 3 large island at the beginning, I haven't had a clue nor the tools to harvest the things I needed and since then I only stumbled on 2 larger island which allowed me to place 4 grass on my raft. I guess on the next large island I might be able to add 2 or 3 further grass and was wondering whether this can feed 2 or 3 animals safely.

they changed the mechanics to where the animals no longer starve to death. now they just don't produce their stuff anymore. I would say have at least 2 grass blocks per animal. you can get away with one but 2 is better in my opinion

You switch to 3rd person by pressing your comma button I believe. If you go to settings and look at your controls you'll see it there. It's either the comma or the period button, I can't remember off the top of my head lol

depends on how many animals and how often you are on top of watering them. i would have three grass plots per animal

I killed 4 puffer fish but it doesn't come out yet

Would be nice if you got the bucket and bowls back after cooking and eating.

Yes! That is the help island very rare to come across and you get a hidden achievement for finding that as well.

I found a generic animal island by roaming 'round the world with the current. And I had my whole navigational system just pointing out the main story one, but it was against the current. As you could imagine, I was trying to get back to the Vasagatan, but it was against the current... *sigh *

aww that really sucks. I feel your pain. before i got to the stage when I had the steering wheel and the engines I made about half a storage chest full of paddles and would go out of my way to paddle against the current to island that i desired. pain in the butt.

I have been looking for the animal island for like 4-5 hours now can't seem to find it anyhow and I have visited the radio tower infact I did the bolbai island today and wanted animals but can't find them pls help

I used sprinkler to maintain my grass with sea water I'm a beginner I die many times in this game cuz I don't know how to start lol and it annoyed me every time u die the items that u gather will lost so I only play in easy mode

what do you mean? You just don't eat in the game. that is how you don't get hungry. if you saw one clip of me full and the next not hungry it was proboably from me waiting around and i edited out footage.

what you need to do is put on your receiver and you need to focus on the small green dots that appear on the receiver. go towards those. it does not matter what code you put into the receiver as that does not matter. put a fresh battery in and locate the green dots.

My puffer fish aren’t spawning

Despite the bug of disappearing animals from your raft, it was always easy to catch more... but not for the last few days. I don't know what happened, but for like the last 3-4 days I just can't capture any animal. When I launch the net towards the animal, it just bounces off of him. Is anyone else experiencing this? I even tried by making a new save, but it just won't happen. Anyone have any solutions?

Does this island have a set of coordinates?

animals don't respawn at one island. but don't worry all you have to do is sail around until you find a new animal island and there will be new ones. keep in mind that there are rare animal colors as well! Good luck

I "thought" this game looked pretty good, especially as Survive/Craft/Building games are my FAV, but the Devs NEED to fix this game & I bet they never will, I mean DIRT is EVERYWHERE but u can only dig the pathetic 3-4 piles at a time? HOW would a new player know that? U would figure u build a shovel & then u should be able to dig dirt ANYWHERE, This games systems not only make no sense, but its just a LAZY Excuse used by developers to make the game last longer as u have to "grind" literally 40x more than u should. THANKS for the vid too! Was just about to buy Raft until I saw that Dirt system & how cheap & stupid it is. What a WASTE of a game :(

I can totally understand your perspective on this. I think with each update they have put out that there were very good things they have done and some bad things as well. But most survival games are a purposeful grind. This one is too. Take Ark for example, one of the grindiest gamed out there. Thank you though for the support.

You need to press T. You should have a code in your book that you need to put on your receiver. Everyone's code is different so you will not be able to use mine. You need to have a receiver on your raft. It has to be placed on the roof. Once you have that then you press T input the code onto your raft and you need to complete this first before you can see the animal islands.

yes there is land. it is not common and you have to use the receiver with antenas to get to the very large islands. there is a lot to this game.
