You know you are having a bad addiction to mods when you consider using a storage mod when you can just craft storage chests.

Dangerously funny is for some reason so satisfying when something goes off the rails weird

Making the raft go backwards should be an achievement. Well done DF. That impressed me. Now I too want to try.

Just to give you some ideas of the speed, walking is a meter or two per second. Highway speeds is something like 30 m per second. The speed of sound is 340 something meters per second

At the highest, DF was going approx. 2,000 meters per second or 4473.873 mph or 7200.0006693 kph. :)

For a raft with omni-directional collection AND the possibility to expand easily you want to put nets on 2 touching sides of the square/rectangle (nets on an L-shape). But iirc the game works in way where the original 4 tiles you spawn on will forever be the centre of the game in terms of flotsam spawns. (Going more than ~25 tiles into one direction means theres no flotsam on the outer nets if you go in a straight line.)

Whatever mod changes the speed based on the raft base doesn't seem programmed to turn, which leaves most of your speed in the default direction.

@@fuzzyotterpaws4395 As a fellow American I feel no shame in saying that I only use SI units for technical things, melting points of 3D printer plastics and Kerbal Orbital Velocities. Fahrenheit is by far the better measure of environmental temperatures.

You might want another episode with this mod: one intending to catch islands with the raft; snag them with their shape, like an V L J or 7 at first then widen the scale so passing islands arrest the raft: as materials pour-in, double shape the raft into a W E 3 or M design, continuing off the 1st shape to hook islands and explore. How many animals can you shanghai?

DID YOU KNOW that Cat Goes Fishing got an update with apparently 4 fishes?

I think the long stick on the wheel indicates center, so when you leave the wheel you should probably reorient it if you want to continue straight.

this man is the calmest person i've ever seen

1m/s is 3.6km/h, which is 2.2mph. So that 50m/s is well over 100 miles an hour, and it gets more ridiculous from there 😂

the steering wheel will only just turn the raft and do nothing else. The raft is moving down current not the current moving to a static raft, otherwise it wouldn't make sense that islands just move. Steering isn't going to do anything without some kind of thrust from the raft from either sails or an engine.

lol. I'm currently building a raft that is 100 long by 50 wide. That's 5000 foundations. I can only imagine how bad that would break the game if I had this mod. What mod adds speed per foundation? Also what is the mods that adds the display at the top left showing speed etc?
