Gianni literally just received his black belt. He just went the distance with one of the best. Imagine what this kid is gonna be like in a month, 6 months, a year etc etc? Especially with MG as the professor.

I watch this once every few months. At 3:54 Rafa yanks the spider grip out so hard Gianni is just stunned for a few seconds and doesn't know what to do with his left hand. Maybe his hand hurt really bad?

I can’t help but root for Gianni, as much of a Mendes bros fan I am. I hope he does really well.

The white bar on the black belt means that you are an active competitor, although a lot of competitors still wear the Red Bar because that's traditional.

"Do this, Gianni! Do that, Gianni! Don't do this, Gianni! Don't let him do that, Gianni!" I know next to nothing about this sport, so I can't help but wonder: do these interjections actually help, or are they just a nuisance to the fighter?
