Shot on our Sony NX5 in full FX mode 1080i50 AVCHD. Transcoded to Apple ProRes 422 (Proxy) for offline editing in FCP. Online to Apple ProRes 422 to export then compressed to QT H264 for upload.

There wasnt 9 because sadly 2 piolets died ,one crashed and one ejected out of the jet on the ground.....
I think these guys are better than the blue Angels

Definitely. The Blue Angels are the best in the USA but the Red Arrows easily beat them. The Red Arrows are (in my opinion) the best in the world but in others' opinion, one of the best along with Frecce Tricolori and The Turkish Stars.

cant remember exactly why.. i have a feeling that 2012 was the year that the arrows had a crash so that may have affected it..

The Red Arrows only flew with 7 aircraft instead of 9 as a mark of respect to Flt Lt Jon Egging and Flt Lt Sean Cunningham who were unfortunately killed in accidents in 2011.

Christopher Draper they have 9 now lol they must of built a few more crashes are sad for a beautiful plane If rc turbine base hawks can do the same as a real one why not use 9 radio controlled red arrows because its bloody impressive for what a model can do pretty good trickery to think that a model can do formations aswel but it has to be done with precision on the ground moving the little sticks to get it to do the stunts its fucking crazy

+Scania 84 I use a Miller Compass 12 with 3-stage carbon fibre legs.

Thanks for the quick reply, just looked into it, just a bit expensive I think, do you know of any good ones ranging up to about £30 - £40? And BTW great video as well.

+Scania 84 you won't get a good tripod for that price I'm afraid. I used Velbon D700s before I got the Miller. They are ok but don't last long and not as easy to use or put up. Lighter though. They are in different leagues.
