    As an FPV Drone pilot who uses A radiomaster Radio and ExpressLRS on all my drones I am beyond excited to be able to move my surface RC over to the ecosystem, I hope the RC community takes to this radio and it becomes as popular there as it is in the FPV community. I would say 85% of FPV pilot use a Radiomaster Radio.

    I want to know if this (with the 4-in-1 module) will work with the Losi Promoto mx 1/4-scale motorcycle and, if so, how you would need to program it for that RC motorcycle. It would also be interesting to see if this motor cycle will work as well with a ELRS receiver but I doubt it as the receiver provides some stabilization functionality.

    Unfortuantely no, ELRS is not compatible and the Multiprotocol module doesn't supprot Flysky's AFHDS3 protocol which is what the Noble uses. It does support the older AFHDS2 protocol though. The good news is ELRS receivers are 15 bucks. I think the ELRS variant is the one to get. Unless you have a bunch of Traxxas stuff you could bind the MPM too, it looks like Traxxas is supported it's mentioned on the mpm website.

    So Im in the same boat as you, I just found the FRM-303 Module is used for AFHDS3. The only issue Im seeing is that the module doesn't have a nano connector .. yet. My guess is once this drops if they want to convert all of us AFHDS3 users they will have to have a nano adapter of some sort. Unless it already exists. Also I am seeing that the module cant use ibus2. However, I did pre-order a 4-in-1 as I have a bunch of other cars Id love to grab up into 1 receiver I can't grab with my NB4 and as soon as a module adapter comes out should knock it all out at once. Or as they were saying the Receivers are in fact cheap. But I want telemetry like temperature and voltage not sure how those will work with the new receivers (voltage looks like out of the box) but adding temp sensors etc. so gonna wait and see.

  • @rcvg69420

    @rcvg69420

    8 ай бұрын

    @@KrystmX Yeah tough call on the temp sensors. I do think adapters exist to convert a nano sized module bay to a jull JR bay to fit your FRM-303 but it's probably quite bulky. I think 4in1 mt12 and adding the 40 dollar 1000mw ranger nano elrs module are the best way to equip this radio. Cheaper than adding 4in1 after the fact if you got the elrs version and you get 1000mw output on the ranger micro instead of 250mw output with internal elrs

  • @KrystmX

    @KrystmX

    8 ай бұрын

    @@rcvg69420yeah I’m still debating. Def know the elrs add on is more power and further. Planning to do some fpv so that will be helpful. Would just love not to replace 6x recievers. But if I can diy the sensor telemetry I’d be down for sure. Temp and voltage are my big ones but gps for speed would be great too. Currently in my Nb4 I have to choose gps or temp since I didn’t realize I couldn’t mix and match ibus 1/2. Temp is more important so I usually watch that and turn on gps for speed checks.

  • @rcvg69420

    @rcvg69420

    @@keldonator so, the whole reason this radio is great is *because* of expressLRS (ELRS). ExpressLRS is a low latency long range radio link, currently most used for FPV drones. Getting 10-30km out is easily attainable (not on a car, you won't get that far that close to the ground). If you just zip around in front of your house, meh. But if you are a racer that cares about latency, expressLRS is on par with (if not, better than) the fastest links currently available from Sanwa and Futaba for 1/6th the price. If you want to put FPV on a truck and go explore the woods, this has the range to go super far out. Orders of magnitude further than anything in a surface radio today. If you want to have a drag car that you don't have to worry about being out of range as soon as it's up to speed, this has more range than you could ever need. The 4in1 is .... Fine I guess. EdgeTX is super powerful and can do great stuff. But knowing what settings to change in the radio and learning to use edgeTX may not be what the average RTR customer is willing to jump through for it to be worth trying to consolidate everything into a single radio (I imagine that is the reason you would be interested in using the 4in1). It would be way easier to just fork out the extra $15-$20 per car to move them to ELRS and use the ELRS version than have to fumble with all that. I have a 4in1 module in my dual stick radio, and it doesn't even have an antenna plugged into it because im always running a ghost or ELRS module in it 🤷

I guess thats why they make both haha.
