Bsc radiology (Radiotechnology) can be done without neet and you will be called a Radiographer/Radio-technologist . But for radiology in the medicine field you have to do MBBS then PG (NEET exams compulsory for government college) and then after completion you will be called a Radiologist (Dr).

dont know about country rule but radiographer are those doing pcl(diploma) and they are technician they can do ct and mri only as a assistant,and if you do bachelor in that field then you will be radiological technologist whom can do ct scan and mri.and it is part of Radiology.

Don't think that way bro. This field is not related to your previous science stream. How can you jump bsc radiology. After you have done zoology, botany, chemistry. You have to complete first bsc radiology and one year intern and then you have to go further for msc. That's it. Now I think you know.

I would say don't run behind the prefix dr, rather see your niche and gain knowledge in the field you are in. No doubt you will crack all heights. Don't forget a hospital or healthcare is not only run by docs all are important.

Maybe because of the different courses. Radiologist is a doctor, he/she have to clear neet exam and then 4yrs mbbs and then md/dmrd/, ,, courses take 3 or two years. That's the reason maybe. Radiographer do 2 yrs course diploma and 3yrs bsc and 2yrs msc.

Ye this question must be asked?? Radiographer do all technical things but, in private sector, this is the starting salary of all nurses and mri technician salary. But govt mri technician starting salary 35k..at current 7th pay commission.

No you can't. If you want to do this course you have to be join college and then after college you have to do intern, which is not possible for govt job holders. You are doing govt job then what is the need of doing this. And if you get gvt job after this you can get salary around 35k starting... But too much competition, so still happy at whatever job you have 👍👍

I think this is applicable only in your country. How can you say that radiographers are technicians? You don't really know much about the topic you chose. Technicians don't have degrees in imagine while radiographers are allied health professionals with imagine degrees who are fully licensed to operate ionizing radiation, radioactive elements and with pgd, report even Ultrasound.

Yes indeed.. that's the problem they fail to address in India. Everyone thinks that healthcare is only run by docs and nobody even knows about the Allied health professionals. They think they're a mechanic 😂. To resolve this we need more educated people over here.

Sonographer- they produce images using the machine Sonologist- they observe the image produced by the Sonographer and consult the patient accordingly

Agar aap bsc karte hai to aap radiographer ki post pe kam karte hai that means test conduction ka kam hota hai and yaha starting salary around 15k hoti hai private me. But govt me around 40k ho skta hai.

Obviously you can use the prefix Dr. In front of your name. But you will be a researcher or better say a scientist or professor then. Salary depends on where you're working, generally professors or scientists get 1-3 lac a month with phD. But MD radiologists are clinicians who deal with the diagnosis of the patient's disease. So both job roles are different but yet equally important.
