Lots of things to say but here's my take: Radiohead is very unique in their approach to the notion of "serving the song" instead of their individual contributions so they clearly prioritize the writing aspect in their music, according to Jonny Greenwood he is "more proud of what they have written than how he plays". Nonetheless, it seems that they tend to contribute in some specific ways which elevate their tracks tremendously: Thom Yorke - his teacher Terence Gilmore James described him as "thinker and experimenter", main songwriter, avant-gardist, very underrated in rhythm guitar Jonny Greenwood - composer/arranger extraordinaire, the band's jack of all trades; he's arranging Thom's ideas and in my opinion he is most certainly one of the heavy hitting composers of the 21st century (not to mention his creative textures in guitar) Ed O'Brien - the pedal wizard, he's very candid in his taste and one of the most underrated guitarists in recent history, secret sauce in their creative textures Colin Greenwood - he's known as the peacemaker in the band, extremely underrated bassist, his rhythmic interplay with Jonny is often underappreciated but certainly elevates the songs tremendously Phil Selway - the human metronome, he supports the band in every way, incredible at drum programming as well, he's like the skeleton of their music Nigel Godrich - The best sixth man of all time Stanley Donwood - RH is also very candid about their relationship with visual arts and usually this aspect contributes to the imagery of their songs tremendously without being aware, he's equally responsible for RH aesthetic Radiohead, for me, is the perfect combination of selfless people who know what they like about music and have insatiable appetite towards exploring new realms by being fascinating musicians but avid lifelong learners at the same time...

Way back in 1997 I was writing for a street press magazine , and I got an invite to a secret gig Radiohead played in Sydney Australia. It was just before OK Computer was released, it was kind of an industry promo. During my 12 years doing that job in Sydney I went to over 3000 gigs, and many more since then, but that Radiohead show rates in my Top 5. Yeah. That good. And that was still their relatively early days. I've seen them again since, and although they are far more polished now, it isn't quite the same.

My favorite Radiohead song. Everyone is always shocked by that, but can never seem to explain why...they all "like it". The way the simple but melodically intricate parts layer together in the verse and chorus to perform an impenetrable cascade of sound...it's hypnotizing. Especially once you've heard the acoustic version, and realize how they essentially cut out the main melodic part of the song...and made it brilliant.

Ok Computer is one of, if not the best albums I've ever heard in my life. The thought put into every song makes it like a dream of music when I close my eyes. I instantly start to think of my life based off these songs... I've never had that type of feeling while listening to The Beatles and other classic bands. Truly amazing band, record, and my favorite song. Thanks Radiohead, for giving me the best eargasms I've ever had!

The breath of the morning I keep forgetting The smell of the warm summer air I live in a town Where you can't smell a thing You watch your feet For cracks in the pavement Up above Aliens hover Making home movies For the folks back home Of all these weird creatures Who lock up their spirits Drill holes in themselves And live for their secrets They're all uptight Uptight.. [x7] I wish that they'd swoop down in a country lane Late at night when I'm driving Take me on board their beautiful ship Show me the world as I'd love to see it I'd tell all my friends But they'd never believe me They'd think that I'd finally lost it completely I'd show them the stars And the meaning of life They'd shut me away But I'd be all right All right..

Gives me chills every time.

I love it, I love RADIOHEAD so much!😢 John plays in such a simple way, yet in a way that produces sounds from another planet!! It's incredible!
Drums, guitar, bass, voice, lyrics. The perfect song. The Best.
One of the great drums ever. Phil Selway my total insiparation
crazy underrated song and band!
Now that aliens are real, we'll have to play them this - our best one about it all.
This is such an amazing song.
There's a normal, everyday brilliance to radiohead, effortlessly putting together material practically every other band on earth or elsewhere would die and kill for, and then making them even better live. Some trick
This is just PERFECT
Excellent tune. I love listening to this in my car on clear summer nights and driving around. Very chill. Excellent song to listen to while star gazing
I love this song makes me feel so nostalgic about that late 90s early 00s era

This song makes me feel my mind in other dimension.

I'm just uptight Uptight.. [x7]
I'm melting with this sweet melody...
Beautiful drumming from Phil
