Radiohead (Covers) - NYC Busker performs an acoustic Radiohead Set at the Metropolitan Ave. Subway
Музыка
Hello!
My name is Navzad Dabu. While living in Bushwick this past year, I frequented the Metropolitan G stop during the graveyard shifts, where Radiohead songs and the trickling down of late-night activities meet in perfect harmony.
This set represents a little window into a space that I hold sacred, not only as tribute to Radiohead's mercurial majesty, but also as gracious observation of these beautiful New Yorkers, themselves.
Thanks for listening and watching!

A common theme of Radiohead is the monotony of life and the environment with the passing trains and folks coming and going enhances the power of the music, which is delivered by an amazing talent. It is our duty to support and protect artists such as this who bring beauty into lives and ask for little in return.
@Lagrangeify

I mean no disrespect but I don't think the monotony of life is a common theme of Radiohead's music at all. Of all the many things I may have felt about their work, the exploration of monotony is definitely not one of them.

Hello Everyone, Thank you all for the kind love and support. And more thanks to all my new subscribers. This video was devised as a temporary goodbye to Bushwick as my job [I am a film editor by trade] had taken me elsewhere. The response and outreach its had has been truly touching and overwhelming. And to all those who were there that night that are just started to find this, as I see in comments here and there: Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for taking the time to settle in that space with me. You all brought such enjoyment to me when watching this back. And you guys, every night I went down there, made my stay in New York so fucking incredible. To all who've asked about my Instagram... I do not have one 😅. My brain is horrible with it. I am however, finally able to begin working with a close friend and superb musician. We're slowly, but surely, progressing on our first EP - self-produced out in Joshua Tree, where I'm currently residing. The band is called "OxHunt." And hopefully the social media presence for that will be a bit more "active" as it develops. And this channel will be where I share further info. We are also working on getting to another video. I had to rent equipment and labor for this video as this was never something I had intended on up-keeping, nor do I intend to monetize as ads ruin everything. As such, along with my desire for unique environments and extended experiences, the videos are a bit more spread out than I would like. Thank you for the patience! And for those asking about this lovely guitar. It is a LAG Tramontane. It was given to me by a dear friend, David Myton, whose beloved dog, Daisy, passed away days before I posted this and why there is a dedication at the outset of the video. Thank you to everyone for *slowing down* and taking the time to listen! I so appreciate you.

That he wasn't completely ignored, that some people stayed and listened, and cheered and applauded, and threw in some change-has brought me back some degree of hope, and reinforces the will to continue in this path of music. It's all about touching people and sharing one beautiful moment together. I don't think he cared much whether anyone listened or not, whether anyone threw him a bone or not; there's no ego bleeding or being displayed-he was just there in his special place, pouring his heart out for no one. I think that was part of the allure, and that people shared in those moments, made it more special. I'm taking notes, thank you for sharing your beautiful soul, Monsieur Dabu.

This setting and the cinematography + editing feels like a scene from a movie.
Radiohead is for me the greatest and most difficult band to cover. To do that acoustically and solo takes insane talent, and your voice is perfection and you playing is simply perfect. I can tell you have studied and obsessed over Thom for a long time, from the timely groove of your head, intimate mic position and that awkward shimmy of his body.

this was easily one of if not the most meaningful hour spent on KZread in my life. damn, the performance, the visuals, the location, the tracklist. i gotta point out Nude, as it for one is the least expected track to be translated to an acoustic performance - it’s a gem, super solid execution. besides that - probs for Jigsaw Falling Into Place, Present Tense, Weird Fishes, Paranoid Android, Reckoner. the final one - How to Disappear Completely - is a heart wrecking performance. overall the songs chosen are far from the easiest from Radiohead’s catalog to nail, and yet all nailed close to perfection. my man, you’ve got balls _(and skills to complement those obviously lol)_ . from the bottom of my heart, thank you for sharing this solid work of both visual and musical art.

Hey, you might not see this but what you did with "There There" was pretty damn interesting. Totaly made it your own, which is pretty hard to do for Radiohead. I always liked the deep brooding aspect of "There there" like I can feel my soul getting dragged away into a deep dark forest on a cloudy moonlit night. You made it chipper though. Your version makes it like it's daytime in the desert and you're just getting by until the next town rolls up to your feet. Very cool.
i have so many favourite Radiohead songs. But what stands out is 'how to disappear completely '. You did an excellent job in covering it. And i am not easy to win over
Paranoid Android was amazing, clearly that is one of the songs you have the most practice on. I also got hooked onto Radiohead by that song. I was in a different tab when Bulletproof started and I actually thought it was Thom Yorke and forgot I was listening to a cover. Mad respect, thanks for helping share the beautiful music of Radiohead which is still underrated.

One of the best thing that KZread has present me
Your paranoid android cover was actually insane thank you for the video
What a masterpiece! I have been an ardent Radiohead fan for the past 15 odd years and have heard a bunch of covers. But none were as close to yours. I couldn't help but fight the uncanny resemblance to Thom in you, feeling goosebumps all throughout the performance, with each eye twitch, each lip twist and extended falsetos; Absolutely stunning. Thank you for doing this and making Radiohead immortal in the hearts of hardcore fans such as us! Kudos to the camera persons for capturing it so artistically. Almost feels like I was at the subway station. Love
Rhythm, vocal range so smooth, clean playing (Radiohead had 3 guitarists). Man, this video makes me jealous!! Seriously impressive chops. Hope you keep tapping the rich vein of Radiohead for years and years! Great song choices too!
Piece of ART! Great work with the camera, every aspect from the video created the right atmosphere for Radiohead music; melancholy seen in the dark corridors of the station; loneliness from the continuos movement of the people, but no one was able to stay the whole concert; and "How to disappear completely" was a perfect song to end it up, showing how little are we in a big city, that each one of us could disappear today and the machine city would keep functioning.
how has this only got 500 views im stunned this was honestly spectacular and you are blessed to have such a beautiful falsetto it was like watching thom himself I hope your channel will blow up soon so you get the recognition this deserves also good job on the cinematography you have caught the mood perfectly
