I love this song! Awesome job on it! Your bend style is really awesome. Just realised it, but it's very natural, yet not distracting. I know I've compared you to Gilmour before, but you have that in common, where it serves the song and is emotional, not just a showboat thing. I'm really not a huge technical-only player fan. Couldn't care less about Vai and Satriani. More into Gilmour, Lifeson, Andy Summers, etc., who wring feeling out of their instruments. You seem to be in good company!

Fairlight2cx wow your comments always make my day, thank you! I used to work a lot on my bends, pitch and vibrato back in the day instead of speed and other techniqual stuff. I don’t care too much about the shredders either although I don’t mind putting on a yngwie record every once in a while;)

I remember watching a video sometime in the last year (which doesn't mean it was released in that time frame, the way I use YT) where they went through a sort of list of bad things guitarists do, and one of them was basically playing really fast but *not* using bends. I think they used Freebird as their example of a song which was absolutely butchered without using bends. It cracked me up, but it was true, cos it sounded so mechanical and lifeless. In contrast, I saw a guitarist the other night who did a really cool song, and she was really good, but there were two places where her bends just felt jarring. It may have been intentional, as the rest was really good, but it felt anything but natural in those two spaces. It's the little stuff like fluid and natural bends that make it 'sing' as opposed to just being played, I think.
