2 races in and the 17 is really showing his skill. Daytona- caused a wreck. Atlanta-ruins lead battle. Classic 17

So I live like 50 minutes away from there and the Friday of that weekend I was going out of town and I was not quite the NASCAR fan I am today so I did´nt knew the race was in Atlanta but I remember driving past a couple of billboards announcing it and thought ¨Thats cool¨.

Looks like Ricky is gonna be a problem this year...

I liked Martin truex Jr when he first started doing good but I think he forgets that for his entire career he was at the bottom every week and it seems like ever since he has won races and got really good he has started complaining a lot more. And in the race Sunday I seen Brad get around the 17 just fine because brad was willing to move to the high line but Martin wanted to cling to the low line and make the other guy move! Just seems like since you had such a better car than brad’s then why couldn’t you go to the high side to pass the 17 🤷🏻‍♂️

If Truex was so much stronger, he wouldn't have had such a problem getting around a car one lap off the pace. He's fitting right in at Gibbs already with all that bitching.

I can see truex's point... However, (and im a chevy guy) Ford won the race. Ricky drives a ford. This may have been a manufacture play. Which was actually very smart on his part. Didnt completely drop a block on truex. Just put him in dirty air to buy a Ford teammate some time.

Maybe. I mean, we saw Kyle Busch basically single handedly push Parker Kligerman into the Daytona 500 in the duels (Parker drove a Toyota), so it's possible. But for someone like Ricky, who couldn't even get along with his own actual teammate in Trevor Bayne (maybe he gets along better with Newman, idk) it seems out of character to help an unrelated Ford get the win. It would've made a lot more sense to me had he done that for Kyle Larson, since they're friends.

If you split them up, the 19 team's performance might go down a bit, but on the other hand, you'd probably get a crew chief for the 19 team who would actually do something about Truex's constant complaining.

I know it felt weird to not hear Kyle Busch, he hasnt even been big on the news or anything, i know its only 2 races but he wasnt even in radioactive for the daytona 500 Edit: there was only a little bit of scanner sounds for him

I thought the race was Meh. The restarts were great. But this new aero package combined with a reduced horsepower engine is throwing me off big time. The cars are visibly slower on TV and I'm not sure how this complete package is gonna work when they get to places like Fontana, Michigan, Texas, Kentucky, Iowa and Charlotte.
