I wish I saw this before I became a cadet. I get the shivers everytime I report. Worse when you are either in China or India which they're English pronunciation has a very odd accent.

Does the VTS ask any other questions besides manoeuvring speed, freeboard / or and maximum draft? And under which European legislation are these queries regulared? On which occassions are they allowed to deny permission of entry to an EU port? Thank you in advance

yes ,sometimes it would ask you like if you have any dangerous cargo onboard, ships natinality,crew nationality,preveous port,if all crew are healthy just a simple questions

Everything that they can ask and what has to be reported can be found in the ADMIRALTY List of Radio Signals volume 6 for VHF communications

As an agent it's nice to know how it goes from Sea to Berth.
