What exactly were they doing wrong? They were providing a service were out at sea so can't exactly be seen as a business operating in any one country there are alot worse things happening today

00:37 - love the period piece B.T Tribune telephone. Very much a transitional era reflected by that one piece of equipment - which could pulse and D.T.M.F dial. In the background are P.Cs making their way into the office, which have not yet become the primary equipment in the office, butare ontheway in. Pirate radio becomes less assertive and more underground and land-based, whilst the C.D and digital mixing technologies displace vinyl records. Medium wave is starting to play 2nd fiddle to F.M more and more.

This was an illegal raid on a legally registered vessel in international waters....did the caroline owners try to take legal action?

They won their court case but the law was changed which allowed it to be boarded and raided legally. They didn’t really get going again before the raid and played many recordings of “Bringing Christ To The Nations”.

als je zoiets doet ben je een zielig figuur het enige wat Radio Caroline deed was het uitzenden van muziek als iemand weet wat namen van die gasten was en adressen zal ik ze is effe verassen met een hamers bijlen en andere objecten waar ik hun huis en speelgoed mee zal slopen ook ik zal een schakelaar laten zitten die van het licht maar de lamp hangt er dan niet meer want het licht zullen ze toch wel niet meer zien

Weet iemand de namen/adressen van die figuren die op dat Hollandse schip zaten? Zullen we ze - al is t behoorlijk lang geleden gebeurt.. - ook eens ff verassen en hun spullen slopen! Dré

I think the main problem was with the Dutch government vs Radio Monique. also, how were the stations funded? by criminal money as a money laundering operation? I did hear some rumor going round during the early 90's.

They were earning £7 per record they played
