Jews have made their own religion and in the process invented characters like Abraham and Moses and plot devices like a Chosen People and a Promised Land. The other religions stole such concepts because they were so persuasive. The ideas are brilliant so why wouldn't anyone attempting nation-building steal them? Truth and facts are two separate things. There are many reasons- religious and historical/ atheist for a Jewish state in Israel.There is no contradiction in both atheists and religious Jews being Zionists.
