Radical Review at Silverstone, best track cars?

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Motorflix was very kindly invited to passenger in the Radical Cars range some of the most raw track toys money can buy.
Christian was driven by professional racing drivers round Silverstone Circuit. We started in the Radical SR1 then thrown in the deep end in the Radical SR10, and lastly in the SR3. The weather was perfect the cars were spectacular. Christian then had an in depth chat with Dan Redpath Radical's Sales and Marketing Director.
A massive thank you to Radical cars for having us along to experience such special cars. Hopefully we will be invited back to experience the hot seat next time!

The new SR3 XX sports car brings unparalleled race car technology to the fingertips of drivers around the globe.
Developed in conjunction with Radical’s long-term data partner AiM Technologies, the super sports car benefits from an all-new electrical architecture, allowing race and track drivers access to more data and feedback than ever before.
The SR3 XX is the first production race car to feature AiM’s new solid-state technology, which controls not only power management, but also a suite of data options and technology to help Radical drivers be the fastest on the race track. It will also be the first sports car to feature AiM’s new Formula steering wheel technology, akin to those usually seen in high-level single-seater racing cars and Le Mans Prototypes.
To put the power of this new technology at all racing car driver’s fingertips, the SR3 cockpit has been re-designed, with a new dashboard designed around a new multi-function steering wheel, incorporating a built-in LCD display to bring real-time information to the driver. The system is fully customisable, with hundreds of data feed combinations to choose from, with up to four fields being displayed at any one time.
This lightweight, affordable sports car also offers multiple vehicle control buttons incorporated within the steering wheel, enabling maximum driver control. The new dashboard incorporates a centre-stack design with secondary control functions via momentary touch-pad switching, back-lit for night-time visibility.
These features, coupled with ride height sensors, will be of particular value to those embarking in Radical’s endurance racing, not to mention longer-duration motorsport events such as the 25 Hours of Thunder hill, in which an SR3 scooped outright victory last December beating GT3, LMP3 and LMP2 machinery in the process.
Drivers can choose between Radical’s proven 1340cc or 1500cc four-cylinder hand-built RPE racing spec engines to power the new model, both assembled by Radical's world-class race car engineering team. Both are driven through a six-speed sequential gearbox with paddle shift and Quaife limited-slip differential, and are coupled with a new-generation racing exhaust system.

With a high horsepower, long-life powertrain, the new Radical SR10 is everything you’d expect from a Radical - turbocharged. Targeted at track-day enthusiasts, motorsport country club members, and racers across the globe, the SR10 delivers more power and torque than has ever before featured in Radical’s SR line-up, with a new engine and drivetrain package optimised for both performance and durability.

I have a 2022 SR3XX and can't get enough of it! An amazing track machine. Like the Radical representative said in the video, it's very forgiving, but you can grow so much with the car and keep striving for those pro level lap times as you progress.

    このマシンは、別格だと思います。 世界の一流スポーツカーは、ドイツやイタリアにありますが、これは別格の世界でレーシングカーの領域ですね。😊 これを製作したRADICAL様は、凄い情熱ですね。😊

That’s interesting. How do they compare? The SR10 and the SR8? Thanks

@@napalmhotdog4365 The SR10 is massively fast, faster than the SR8 even - though the delivery is very different due to being turbo'ed. It sounds rubbish however, which is unforgivable in a race car IMO. The SR3 revving to 10.5K sounds a proper racer. The SR8 on the other hand sounds absolutely wonderful (Exhaust AND induction) and being normally aspirated has much more linear and predictable acceleration. I think it weighs a bit less than the SR10 too. Anyway the 8 has been pulled and you cant buy a new anymore, so its a bit of an unfair comparison.

I assume that these cars are not road legal? (If not, can you make them road legal as a package?) Does this car come with a CVT or a sequential paddle shift gearbox?

Hopefully in the future they make "the SR20" with Nissan SR20 engine. It will be nice and match the name 😍
