The first time i heard this song was when I was in Germany. I had gone to Germany on a scholarship and it was a dream come true. All the efforts I had put in finally made it possible for me. I met so many people there who became my family for the time I was there. This song not only reminds me of those people but the air I breathed and the ground I stood on. My ex fianceé used to love this song. It was our happy song. We always used to listen to it whilst cooking together in the evenings. I really loved that woman and this song reminds me of a happier time. Of a time when I could dance in the kitchen with someone I would give my life to. A time when everything made sense and of when I knew happiness. Things fell apart so quickly and for months I listened to this song to get the crying out of my system. It's the first time in a few months that this song comes up on my feed and it is giving me a sense of comfort. A sense of moving on. It's difficult to accept the way my life turned out, but at the end of the day this song remains a masterpiece that reminds me that happiness is still out there.

The fact that this song is almost 12 years old, it’s so devastating. My childhood was the most magical time in my life. It was full of parks, wearing the dorkiest outfits and being involved with so many people. I can’t even tell you what I would trade to go back to when I was a kid.

I lost my doggo today due to parvo virus. I'm writing this at 1 o'clock when my dog used to bark along with some street dogs and right now I am really missing him. He was fighting very hard till his last breath but sadly he could not win. RIP Sane missing you a lot

god, this hurts in the best way. i was in a drama group last year and the year before that. we thought it’d go on for years more, but it got unexpectedly shut down recently, and a lot of the members as well as the director left. they were my family. this was our song. we knew it wouldn’t last forever, but it would’ve been nice to know that our most recent show would be the last. those were the best two years of my life. to everyone, i’ll miss you. i love you.

When I hear this song I just get flashbacks of packed stadiums, concerts and parties and imagining the first time those come back after the pandemic

After I came across Nikon commercial on TV I just can't forget the melody of this song. After all these years, here I am just to hear this beautiful song again and again.

I heard this song for the first time this year (2024) when I stayed 2 months at Crete in Greece. 🇬🇷 I will always remember the fantastic vibe and the coolness of this island, it was incredible: Beach, Sun, Mountains, sea, waves, palm trees, good food, absolutely beautiful cities, swimming pools and so much more. Thank you, Radical Face.😥❤🙏

I first heard this song accompanying an experiment sending pet ashes into outer space carried by weather ballons. A cat with itchy feet and a budgee. I think it fit that theme well as it was both travelling and coming home at the same time.

i think thats actually the point of the song, the sardonic line "welcome home" is being welcomed home to the memory of someone whos "thumbs press into your skin again" and whome was "never supposed to leave" its intended to be a bittersweet feeling of effectivley being trapped in the need to return to where comfort once was, but never truly can be again.

every year i'll come *home to check these years. 2020:✔ 2021:✔ 2022:✔ 2023: 2024: 2025: 2026: 2027: 2028: 2029: Almost forgot about this lmao

Today I'm 28 years old, but I remember when I was between 12 - 14 and I saw the Nikon ad during the simpsons break on Fox. This song played and I remember it like it was yesterday, me and my brother lying in the living room at home, watching the simpsons, on an ordinary Wednesday. No worries, no responsibilities or mobile distractions. Every time I hear this song I get goosebumps and I miss the simplicity of life back then.

It seems to me that all the people who listen to this wonderful song, are so sad of loosing that careless time of their lifes...but like, guys! You are still alive! Why not create a ‘back’ to that?
