To all the well meaning you tubers who are bashing 1/8 mile racing.......good for you that you have a track that allows you to race 1/4 mile, but theres a whole shitload of 1/8 mile tracks in places where there would be NO racing whatsoever if they weren't there.....plenty of reasons, good reasons, why 1/8th mile tracks exist......real estate, money, insurance, and money, topography, and money.....almost always its about money.....where I live im fortunate to have several 1/4 mile tracks near me.....but I promise you that if you, me, or anybody else who likes to drag race was told you have 2 options, race on an 1/8th mile track or don't race at all....well you would race 8th mile......so calm down folks......and race.

PilgrimTitan ok so you're a newbie or don't understand. a 2500 lb car going 6's is a lot safer than a 3000 ln+ car. more weight being slung around at 240 is fucking dangerous get it?!! basically these SFI rating these cars have are supposed be whats safe and they can say all of that but you see what happens when a 2500lb car crashes in the 1/4..think about when you add about 600-700 lbs and no wheelie bars and DOT approved tires...yeah, shit gets real...really fucking fast

Stick to your toys, you are clueless. The eighth mile rules are about overall safety for the competitors, spectators and track personnel. No event occurs without a huge liability insurance policy, the insurance underwriters will not write a policy for an event with door slammer cars regularly running over 250.

SHELBY6119 yeah promods also weigh less than 2500 lbs have giant ass tires and full tube chassis. apples to oranges man. these cars have a small 12 inch wide DOT tire and weigh 3000lbs and make just as much power
