Great info! Really helpful. Still getting my station setup, so this gives me a lot of ideas. Thanks for making this. For your router fence, maybe just a second fence that slides into the tracks and either is standalone or could rest up against the fence you have, so you can ensure it's square to the router.

Thank you. At 1st I just had blocks of wood cut to size that I left behind the fence, but they were just a guide as they had no fine adjustment on them.

I used to have a radial saw when I made windows. It was great to mass produce sections to length.

What a great find I like it very much😊. I’m going tomorrow to pick up a mint 1996 elu 1251. My bench at the moment is not ideal for the radial arm saw so this looks a very good option. I will certainly subscribe

Nice implementation, I like your fence system. I am researching building a RAS and Miter saw bench and this gives me some ideas along with your downdraft dust collection for the RAS.

Have you considered making a sacrificial fence that slides along the face of your permanent fence? Take a piece of MDF and make a t-track slot in the back side using a straight cutting bit followed by a keyhole bit. You would only need two holes in your permanent fence for t-bolts to hold the fence that that would slide in the track. I'd also consider adding a "mouse hole" in the permanent fence behind the router with a dust collection port behind it. The port could be made so it's removable.

The table for a RAS is meant to be replaced when too worn. One alternative is to use a 1/4 in thick material on top as the sacrifice layer and do not plan on replacing the whole table. You can cover the router table with this 1/4 inch material, but then the depth of cut will be reduced by this much, and taking the layer off is too much work. You can have the mounting plate of the router protruding by this thickness and have a cutout on the sacrifice layer for the RAS table. to accommodate the router mounting plate

I must not have mentioned it in the video, but the table work bench is in fact made up of two layers of MDF. The bottom one is 18mm and the top one is 9mm. It's cut into sections that sit between the T-Track making each one easily replaceable. Thank you for your comment/input though... It's always appreciated.

Very nice setup. One question is how well does it work when you cut angles? Enough clearance for your fence to cut 45 degrees etc?

The left hand fence as you look at it is set up pretty close to the blade, so I tend to swing the arm to the right to make mitre cuts. Bevel cuts are the same, so long as I tilt the blade as if I was steering a car to the left, the bottom of my blade moves to the right and I have all the clearance I need.
